Hey guys, can anyone help me with my current situation. I am totally oblivious what is with this immagration process.

My history:

My green card expired on November 1,2005, when i was 13 year of age.

But my father didn't renew it.

Then my father at the year of 2008 became a U.S. citizen through the Naturalization process(16 at the time).

Around last summer, my father filed the N400 application for me. i went all the way to the interview, on November of 2010, and did said they will delay my N400 application for the reason of "resolution of your N600 application." Which i filed on the same day which I gave to them.

So I waited for 2 months and wonder why I haven't gotten a letter from them so i set up an appointment through the Infopass on January 18,2011 because i wanted to know it went through. When they called me in they said they were gonna sent a letter, which they gave to me saying to bring proof that I was under the custody before I was at the age of 18. Also, they have to delay my case for 3 months for going there before receiving a letter of the documents stating what i have to bring. So it is now August 2nd, 6 mouths counting , and I have not heard from USCIS yet.

I am really worried that it is taking so long. Should I be worried that it is taking so long?

Also, I read in the forums that people got a US passport even though they didn't go through the N600 application process. Is it possible that am i able to go through that process with my expired premanent resident card and I am 19 years of age now? If so, is that enough to get a an california state id?

I have not been productive at all this past year. I can't get a job and not sure if I can go to college with my permanent resident card. i feel as if my hard work in high school was in vain. Any information would be greatly appreicated.
