Outlawed expression: Mute point

Oh, wow. I have to say that I've never run across this error before. But sure enough, when I searched for 'mute point' on Google, some 63,000 listings popped up. Really, people? Really?

This is so utterly, hilariously, ridiculously wrong that I don't even think I should attempt a correction. Instead, I will share this definition from Urban Dictionary:

mute point - addressing the participants of a conference call while your phone is on mute. It was ten minutes before Robert realized that the eloquent argument he made was actually a mute point.

The irony is, you allow yourselves the luxury of debating whether his beliefs and acts reflect on the larger Christian community. Muslims are not allowed to decide; it's been decided for us that terrorists define Islam and that all Muslims bear responsibility for their acts and beliefs. You believe you can refuse the broad brush even while using it on others, and don't realize how self-serving that hypocrisy appears from the outside in.

So the only reason you are not a narcissist is because you have faith?

And what does that mean? It means you are behaving because you bought into the greatest scare tactic known to man. If you misbehave (or in many cases if you are a perfect angel but atheist) then you are cast into hell...When your heart and brain stop functioning and your body starts to decay somehow your soul starts traveling and you go before the Invisible One.

This Invisible One could speak a couple thousand years ago (when His rage would be felt if you tried to build the tallest tower in the world (Babel) or if you ate a delicious and tasty apple that talking reptiles told you were the best in the magical garden) but now all of a sudden a cat has His tongue!!!

A time where science was at all-time lows and superstition (imo) was at all-time highs.

This is how stupid they were. With their piss-poor engineering skills they thought they could build a tower that would go above the sky. The retards probably gave up after about 4 stories high!!! And the idiots thought that once they got high enough they would see heaven.

A real eye opener for me was when I read in Revelations years ago that in the end a dragon in the sky would take his tail and whip 1/3rd of the stars out of the sky!!!! Back then they might think a star is maybe the size of a car (probably did). The morons probably thought there were a couple hundred stars in the sky. We now know the sun is a medium sized star and can fit 1.3 million earths inside it!!! We also know that there are about 300 sextillion stars in the universe. So whipping 100 sextillion stars onto the earth is about the stupidest thing that is written in the bible. Of course it is not a literal part of the book (ya, right, came straight from God).

Perspective:

100 sextillion. That is like going out and collecting every single grain of sand on the planet. From all rivers, beaches, lakes, and oceans.....And then once done with the mission then doing it another 10 times!!!!! You just collected roughly 100 sextillion, give or take 100s of trillions!

And the smallest known star? That is a mere 4.2 light years away (travel 186,000 miles per second for 4.2 years). It is so small, get this, that it is only 20% larger than Jupiter!!!!
