Hello all,

I am requesting people whose case got completed at NVC and are waiting for their Interview dates, to post in this thread. It is for tracking purpose to know how and when NVC schedules interview dates for Mumbai Consulate. This is solely meant to know whether NVC actually schedule interviews in 2nd week of month or they schedule it at a different time too.

My case got completed on 07/07/2011 and waiting for an Interview date to be assigned for MUMBAI consulate.

I'm not from Mumbai consulate...but just wanted to tell you that the 'NVC only schedules interviews during the second week of the month' script is untrue. It seems like alot of people DO get scheduled then, but it is not the only time. I know people who have been scheduled in the last week of the month.

Having said that.... this thread may be useful for those of you going through Mumbai to see how long it is taking people from your consulate, and how far in advance the interviews are. If nothing else...it will be a good support group of people in a similar situtation as yourself.

That's good idea. But as far as i heard, they schedules 15th of each month. And if your track those case # who got interview in Aug for CR1 category, NVC sent their to Mubai either 06/29 or 07/12. You can confirm by AVC. Just dial those no and you can hear when did they send file to mumbai. I did this for Jun month too.

As far as my knowledge, NVC sends two banch to mumbai consulate every months. First, they send usally last week of month for who have interview following month between 1-15 date. Second, they send 2 week of the month for 15-30 date.

For instance, NVC send Agu sch for 1-15 date on 6/29, for Agu 15-30 date, they sent on 07/12. I think you can get it what i want to say.

Anyway My case was completed on 07/14. I am hopping in Sep, 10-20.

Yep Hitu is right the Mumbai consulate comes up with their schedule around 15th of month for next month.

So if your case got approves by 7/7 then you might show up on Aug schedule which would be published by consulate by around 7/15 of 7/20, if you dont make that then you surely should be on september list.

If you are not on september list then you should be worried....

Each month of 15th, Mumbai consulate declare list of visa interview. I don't think so there is a chance for Aug.

@ Hitu, I also noticed today morning that for August 2011, NVC forwarded completed cases to Mumbai consulate on 06/29 as well as 07/12.

One of my relative's case got completed in NVC on 21-Apr-2011, got the interview date from NVC on 28-Apr-2011 (for 16-June-2011) and NVC forwarded the case to Mumbai Consulate on 11-May-2011.

You know the Bombay consulate, How busy it is? and I just spoke to the operator and she told me they done with Aug. interview schedule. I will have in sep. and NVC will notify me through email during last july or first week of the Agu.

keep it mine, Mumbai consulate is one the busiest consulates all over world. India is a second large country where maximum immigrant to the US. That others people do not know that.

Anyway still with you about having int, in Aug.

I hope so. And i think we can get interview date before 15 sep. If they send our cases to Mumbai before 29th July then we would get before 15.

My priority date is 20 MAY 2002 - my case no didn't show up in the interview list put up by mumbai consulate for august - but hoping it would be for september. My case was complete sometime in January of this year - I understood from them at that time that they are just waiting for the priority date to be current.

What type of visa are you seeking? Your "filed for" says E3 visa but that's only available to citizens of Australia. Please update your information and your timeline.
