I-134 HELP PLEASE

Hello, I am preparing my my K1 interview next week and have a question. My fiance is a student, she does work full time but is 20 and we shall be living with her family initially. Her Dad and me get on great and he has said he will support us (me) so should the I-134 be filled out from him or should it remain my fiance and perhaps include a supporting letter from him?

Any help would be great

She has to fill out an I-134 because she is the petitioner.

If she does not meet the 125% poverty guideline then she needs a co-sponsor which would be her father.

Dad completing an I-134 is likely simpler. Make sure he includes the supporting documentation.

They would both fill one out. They would both provide supporting evidence. That is what Anh map was saying.

I'm 100% sure London will accept her Dad's I-134. He should provide his 2010 tax return with W-2s and a few months of pay stubs as proof of his income. (Those are just two suugested but easy enough to get)

You signed a FORM DS-2001 saying you had all the documents needed ( LIST HERE ) and now you plan go to the interview without having an adequate Affidavit of Support? You won't be approved at your interview unless your fiance has enough income and proof of it. Her father's I-134 needs to be original so it will have to get to you by snail mail across the pond. Better hurry!

Both would complete an I-134. As Inky stated, the petitioner always submits an affidavit of support regardless of income.

Have Dad FedEx the I-134 and supporting documents to you for the interview.

Businesses cannot be sponsors, only individuals.

If the sponsor is self employed then their income is the amount shown on line 22 of their most recent (2010 in this case) form 1040 tax return.

Thankyou. I have been advised today that we will only need all this for the changing of status once we are married, we should have enough to clear the embassy interview
