Its been two weeks and NVC either doesn't have my paperwork or still hasn't processed it yet, but I don't understand, based on looking at the Timeline, how some cases go from USCIS to NVC to Embassy in one week and how some cases take a month. The inconsistency is very frustrating. Just curious if anyone from first two weeks of June is still waiting for NVC\Embassy info?

USCIS more than likely hasn't sent the petition yet. They are sent in batches. Just random luck for those who get it from USCIS to Embassy in a week or less.

I feel ur frustration, this is ridiculous.Im starting not to even trust those official letters nemore. Guess i just have to wait.

It took my petition about a week to reach NVC but they didnt know they had it until a few days later(it was not in the system)

the thing is to stay on them and keep calling

with my case they put it in the wrong filing room at NVC for 3 weeks

and I would have not found out had I not kept calling

so just give them the average and keep on top of things

Do they ever go straight to the embassy or do all K-1s have to be logged at NVC first? My NVC operator said it depends on the case...

We thought the DOS stage would be quicker than USCIS but just look at my time line. There are inconsistencies throughout. I know people who have interviews already that filed months after us.

Good luck to you.

Its really frustrating. Whether is USCIS that hasn't sent the package yet or NVC hasn't processed it, but regardless, the long 4th of July weekend is coming up and that will only delay things even longer. I am really hoping they get it done this week

Just my two cents, but I have absolutely no faith in this process at all. If you are unlucky enough to fall into the dead file at any step of this process, you have to suffer through trying to find out how to get your file to next step of this ridiculous process. I keep reading more and more bad things happening to people and it is just so heartbreaking. Got to find a way to regain control of my own life because I have no intention of wasting my life away on this outrageous horrible process.

I wish I could say I feel better now, but I don't.

I dunno, sometimes is useful to call NVC and DoS,ask questions about casefile status, use telephone, not await postal notifications at all.

Have a read here -

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/264972-shortcuts-when-checking-for-updates-from-the-nvc-and-dos/

Dodi's posted how to call and who; further down I've posted what you can get, and when.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

My approval date was June 17 and I got the hard copy on 24th of June. I called NVC this morning and they told me I have to wait 10-15 business days to get the petition to them. I wonder why it took this much long to get to them since I got the copy in 7 days
