Hello To everyone,

I have not been in this forum for a long time due to some deployments and life in general. I am a USC and I just got my parents I-130 approved and sent to NVC on June 6th 2011. I called the NVC to see if they have the paperwork, and they told me: " They do have the papers from the USCIS, but have not keyed the information in their system yet, and therefore they do not have a NVC case number". Furthermore, she stated that it takes 2 to 6 weekse for them to do so, and this seems a long time to wait around.

I know that I should keep calling them till I get the NVC number for the case, and I intend on doing so. My questions are:

1. What documents does the NVC send you as petitioner? Are these forms available on-line for me to print them oput and fill them out, so I don;t have to wait up to 6 weeks? Are tax transcripts allowed as proof when filing I-864? Does the beneficiary have to provide more documents at this steop, such as arrest records anything like that during this process ( not that my parents have one)?

What are the next steps as far as the NVC is concerned? Are there any more fees ( I am guessing that there are more fees to pay because it is a never ending process)? If so, what other fees are there assoiated with this process?

I know I asked to many questions, bu please help me understand this. Thank yuo very much for all the answers in advance. You guys are great.

Basically yes to all your questions. The forms are available online so you don't have to wait for these. Your parents can start gathering the documents they will need as well. Police certificates, notarized birth certificates and everything else. You will have the AOS fee for the I-864 and the IV fee for the actual visa. Take a look at the Guide for the NVC steps and it should answer most of your questions. The NVC should have your case number in about 1 to 2 weeks unless there is some serious hold up. Give them about 10 days and call them every day after that. I'm not as familiar with the relative processing as with the spouse side of things so hopefully someone else can chime in.

Once you have your NVC #, call them again and speak to an operator and ask your IIN, at the same time provide them your email addresses(you and your mom). You can sign in to their Payment Center to pay for the Affidavit of Support (AOS) of $88 and IV Fees which is $404.

Right now, start gathering your Affidavit of Support documents; 2010 Tax Return Transcript, 2010 W-2, last 6 mos of Pay Stubs, Employment Letter and completed form I-864.

Momjourney,

Thank you for your promt reply. What documents do I need from my parents though? Police certificates b/Certificates what else??? I just ordered the Tax transcripts from the IRS yesterday as well. Will they be sufficient for the

I-864?

Will I need Pictures from them?? The person before you mentioned paystubs: Do I need every single paystub for the last 6 months?

Letter of Employer: just saying what position I have and how much I make per year?

Again thank you for everything.
