"Administrative processing"

I just got off the phone with a visa specialist at DOS. I called because I had been receiving conflicting information from the NVC operators about my petition status. I had been told during different phone calls that it was under "Administrative processing" and it was under "Normal processing". The woman at DOS explained to me that all operators have been instructed by the Director to use the term "Administrative processing" in lieu of "Pending" when people call to get their case status because "Pending" annoys people and "Administrative processing" is a more pro-active phrase.

But she still couldn't tell me when they would be sending my package to GUZ.

According your timeline, you are doing fine. You have your case number on May 2.

They are doing review your case, which probably takes about 20-30 days.

Stay calm, otherwise time will go really slowly from NOV2 to interview which is a real battle field.
