What was the last film you saw? Was it any good? Post here!

-----

The last film I saw was David Lynch's 'INLAND EMPIRE'.

A wonderful accomplishment, shot entirely on digital video, with a quite excellent lead performance from Laura Dern.

As far as one can objectively discern footholds in Lynchian narrative, it seems to further explore several tenets present in previous work - the demonic embodiment of sexual jealously, as seen in 'Lost Highway'; metafictitious elements sketched out from the pretext of a Hollywood production, cf. 'Mulholland Dr.'; a woman lost in a nightmarish labyrinthe of multiple consciousnesses and characters (again, 'Mulholland Dr.').

I must say - the more I see of his work, the more I am compelled to believe that Lynch is quite the master of oneiric surrealism. One of the greatest American filmmakers of his generation, no doubt.

I go to advance film screenings a lot... so the last film I saw was A Few Good Men, which is due out in 2012 sometime. What I liked about it was that it was a Aussie/British comedy... but you have to like 'stupid humour' to like it. (Note: I don't.) It was a bit like Wedding Crashers with umm... The Hangover. Interesting combination. Would I buy it on DVD? No. Would I see it in the cinema? Ehh... maybe.

Beyond that, I saw Kung Fu Panda 2, which was cute :-) It made me want a pet panda.... and gave me a nice warm fuzzy feeling.

Ah, my fiancee thought much the same! Advised me to steer well clear.

Aronofsky is an interesting one! 'The Wrestler' I thought was terrific, but 'Requiem for a Dream' was so nauseatingly heavy-handed - such banal, overtly stylized, adolescent dirge - I'm not sure what I make of his talents.

I like TechnoLust with Amanda Swinton (Tilda Swinton)

If you get a chance to get it on DVD, watch it with the Director's comments turned on, tis a totally different experience.

I also like 'The Civilization of Maxwell Bright' but that's an acquired taste - some ppl won't get the underlying content.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

***Last 4...I'll say Black Swan and Insidious were the best....then Hanna...then H2O for elephants...all weird though

Black Swan - today - weird, trippy, crazy, but phenomenal

Water For Elephants - Interesting, cool story, also a little weird

Hanna - Amazing action movie, also a little weird

Insidious - Fantastic if you like horror movies - definitely weird at times

Had to choose between fast 5 and Bridesmaids last night. Fast Five

I always try to keep and open mind and I love car movies, I try to remember its just a movie and try to have fun with it...

Graphics were decent, better then Thor....

But pulling huge safe through the city.....

The movie had so much potential. Even if its the same story over and over.

Still, I think the best "realistic" (notice its in quotes) car action Movies are
