Expired I-134 Form

The current form I-134 on the USCIS website expires on May 31, 2011. Has anyone had experience with the form being denied if it was filled out and notarized and submitted to VFS or the consulate prior to the expiration date but the interview did not occur until after the expiration date?

Does anyone know how close to the expiration date the USCIS will deliver the updated form.

FYI: Additionally, DS-230 Part 1 & 2 was set to expire on May 31, 2011 but has now been updated on the USCIS site.

Good question! I was wondering the same thing. Sometimes I notice they still accept prior versions. Does it say that on the ds 230?

The DS 230 says all previous versions obsolete.

Mari just noticed that the I-156 also expires on 05/31/11. Jeeze, this is irritating!

What was the point of getting ready in advance for this stuff?

This has been asked a few times recently. If your interview is that close to 5/31, you're probably ok to use the current version. If not, wait until they update it.

The instructions actually say "previous editions accepted" since most of the changes they have made to form I-134 over the years have been pretty minimal.

The main info they want to see remains similar, if not the same.

Purpose of Form :

To show that visa applicants have sponsorship and will not become public charges while in the United States. The sponsor must file a separate affidavit for each applicant.

Number of Pages :

Form 2; Instructions 3.

Edition Date :

05/21/2010. Previous editions accepted.

What is on the USCIS site are the latest forms. They can go past the expiry date on the form, if there is no later one available. Same deal with the travel.state.gov (DOS site, DS forms).
