HI everyone! I thought I'd post an update...

I received a text and email notification yesterday regarding an appointment of interview on Sept. 6. It took less than 4 months since the filing date and about 3 months from NOA date.

Wishing everyone success in this long stressful journey!

Awesome !!!! USCIS is movings fast, i got my green card within 2 months a half after i filed , you right its very stressful journey no more uscis for the next 2 years!

I have my state id now i really dont want to carry my GC everywhere, and also i went to the SSA office to change the valid to work for DHS notification to a regular ssn card without it ... i learn two things: before my GC approval i went to SSA to apply for the number after they gave it to me i got my state id with my EAD as well, now my expiration date for my state id is the same one as the EAD (next year)i should have waited until my green card to apply for ssn and id . but anyway the important fact its no more USCIS Until 2013!!!!! OK my friends i wish all of u the best

My case was at the CSC since June 15th and now i've received this:

On August 2, 2011, we transferred this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case.

Hi visajourneyer! Sure it is a good thing! Don't worry, thats exactly what happened with me too. A week after the transfer i received an interview appointment notice. This means that your case is moving now and you will receive more updates soon. Transfer to the CSC does not guarantee approval without interview for all cases. Good luck!!

Hi guys, I have a question... Is the EAD/AP combo card a valid photo ID to be used?

I am flying to another state this month and the only photo ID i have that has my married name in it is my employment card. I don't have state ID due to some requirements that i don't have(they need to see my greencard which i don't have yet) and the other valid ID i have is my passport but that has my last name when i was single.

What do u think? I already purchased the ticket... I need ur advice. Thanks!

Hi smurfs, I don't think you need a state ID to fly inside the us, your combo EAD is enough proof of your identity. Now with your combo EAD card and passport you can even fly outside and back to the us. When i came to the us I had to fly from pennsylvaniya to indiana to meet my present wife, I showed only my passport cause it was the only document to prove my identity although a passport is not necessary for interstate flights. Go ahead with your flight and Bon voyage!!

I think I will never get my EAD. My second application was rejected because I "didn't include the I-485 receipt". Guess what, in the packet they returned the I-485 receipt copy is right there WITH USCIS MARKINGS on the side of it. Great job USCIS

Hey Guys,

Looks like we got approved for our AOS. We received text/email for card production earlier today and then a few hours later we got another text/email say: "On August 9, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status."

Ever since we got our EAD/AP card we didn't mind when we would get the GC, but since it's here it's a load off either way. Thanks to everyone who helped and will be back in 3 years.

Congratulations to everyone who got approved for AOS and also got their EAD/AP cards. Good luck to all those who are waiting for their results.

Looks like we got approved for our AOS. We received text/email for card production earlier today and then a few hours later we got another text/email say: "On August 9, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status."

Ever since we got our EAD/AP card we didn't mind when we would get the GC, but since it's here it's a load off either way. Thanks to everyone who helped and will be back in 3 years.

Congratulations to everyone who got approved for AOS and also got their EAD/AP cards. Good luck to all those who are waiting for their results.

Green Card and learners permit came in the mail today!!! Green card was dated 07.29.11. That was the date of my fiancee's birthday!!! :dance: Thanks to all the VJ members for all of the help along the way!! Good luck to everyone that is still waiting.
