Thanks Paul, you too! I can't believe we've all made it this far alive.

I was reading about March filers having trouble, I'm glad to see they're back on track. I'm glad I live in Chicago. Even though I'm sure it has very little affect on our processing time, a small part of me feels better that I basically just mailed our packet across the street.

Oh hey, you still need to change your profile. It still says K-1. It feels good to change it to the next step! You should try it.

We sent off our AOS package yesterday! Also included a letter to expedite my EAD! Fingers crossed.

Oh you're right, sorry about that. How do I edit the topic title? This board is odd with editing options.

It seems like some people got their biometrics appointment right away and others had to wait nearly 2 months. Do you have to have your biometrics before you get your EAD or is that just for the green card? I don't mind waiting for the green card, I just need my husband to get his EAD so he can start working! I'm very much looking forward to splitting rent.

Yes, you have to have biometrics done before EAD. It usually comes 2-3 months after NOA.

You have on your timeline "Biometric set for 5/10..." but you have a Biometric "walk-in"? Did you just went to have your Biometrics done the set date? You can do that?

I also have this question about biometrics. From what I understand, certain centers allow walk-ins and some do not. This is a concern for us since we've planned a honeymoon from June 10-19th and are worried they will schedule us during that time in Chicago.

Walk-ins are allowed at some offices and not at others. However, you need your biometrics appointment letter in both cases. You can't walk in without a notice.
