This (http://photos.state.gov/libraries/unitedkingdom/39181/pdfs/vaccinechart.pdf) is the list of requirements from the UK Embassy. However the HPV is no longer required for your daughter (I guess London haven't updated their website).

If that is still confusing, basically all you both need are the TDaP and MMR. If you've already had them then you're all set, otherwise you'll need to get them from your GP. You need to have had two shots of the MMR. I'm guessing that may be one you will need, though your daughter probably has had both shots and so just needs her vaccination records.

So my question is can anyone give me in laymen terms the exact injections we need :) i have been again trawling through information and i am on information overload now.

Here's a different version that's not a chart. It's from USCIS

18 years- Td or Tdap (if DT, DTP, DTaP shown: okay to accept); MMR; Hepatitis B; Varicella; Meningococcal; Influenza (during flu season only; October 1 through March 31)

19 through 26 years- Td or Tdap (if DT, DTP or DTaP shown: okay to accept); MMR; Varicella

27 through 49 years- Td or Tdap (if DT, DTP or DTaP shown: okay to accept); MMR; Varicella

50 through 59 years- Td or Tdap (if DT, DTP or DTaP shown: okay to accept); MMR (if born in 1957 or later); Varicella; Influenza (during flu season only; October 1 through March 31)

Flu shots were changed to be for all ages last year, but since it's not flu season, you don't need it. If you've had chickenpox, you are excused from Varicella. They expect your DTP/Tdap version to be boosted (boostered?) within the last 10 years so if you got yours as a child you may need a booster.

I believe we don't have Varicella in the Uk though.

I think it's possibly available but not on the UK list of required jabs.

Yeah, but have you tried to locate a US Civil Surgeon who will agree to fill out your form I-693 for a reasonable fee and not insist on doing the entire medical over again for $$$. It's not only about the price of the shots....the hell is in the documentation.

Examples from PMs I got this week

On another note, my fiance is calling up civil surgeons to try get a transcription from my knightsbridge medical onto the AOS medical form. Right now they are telling him they need to perform another check-up. How do we persuade them that my medical is still valid and that all I need is a sign off on the vaccinations? Do you remember it being this difficult??
I already had all my shots before I went to Knightsbridge, except an MMR booster shot. I got that at my local clinic last week for free. So I think we'll need a civil surgeon just to sign off on that one. I had no idea it would be this much of a pain, I would have gladly paid for Knightsbridge to do it if I had known in advance, but they said for K1 I didn't need it.

If you get it done before the Knightsbridge exam, you do NOT have to have a Civil Surgeon sign off an an I-693. There's about a hundred of us K1s who were successful at AOS using only the DS-3025 form signed off by Knightsbridge. I've posted on this a gazillion times so won't go into detail again.

My husband only needed 2 shots (MMR, DTP)and his GP gave them free. He had chickenpox which excused him from the varicella jab. Are you looking at the right list?

Yes, there are no shots at all on record for her and the 2 kids. Some of the shots are rate in the UK and cost 200 pounds each, and a series of three are needed. That's only one shot. The price of shots from Knightsbridge is online.

The adult only needs the ones appropriate for her age, not catch up with her whole childhood. One of a series is okay. USCIS does not require you to wait on the visa so you can get all the time interval shots in. If you have started the series you are given a waiver on the rest because they were not appropriate (time interval, age, pregnancy)on the day of the medical. It's up to you to follow up for your personal health choice, but not for immigration if you are current on the day Knightsbridge signs the form. The children will need shots for school. Many NHS doctors will do the shots free. I'm surprised the children are not current on immunization already.

Here's the AOS list from the manual. There's not 15 per person (if that's what you were saying):

Birth through 5 weeks- Hepatitis B

6 weeks through 7 weeks- Hepatitis B; Rotavirus

2 months through 5 months- DT, DTaP, or DTP; IPV or OPV (OPV not available in U.S.);Hib; Hepatitis B; Pneumococcal (PCV); Rotavirus

6 months through 7 months- DT, DTaP, or DTP; Hib; IPV or OPV (OPV not available in U.S.); Hepatitis B; Pneumococcal (PCV); Influenza (during flu season only; October 1 through March 31); Rotavirus

8 months through 11 months- DT, DTaP, or DTP; IPV or OPV (OPV not available in U.S.); Hib; Hepatitis B; Pneumococcal (PCV); Influenza (during flu season only; October 1 through March 31)

12 months through 23 months- DT, DTaP, or DTP; IPV or OPV (OPV not available in U.S.); MMR; Hib; Hepatitis B; Varicella; Pneumococcal (PCV); Influenza (during flu season only; October 1 through March 31); Hepatitis A

2 through 4 years- DT, DTaP, or DTP; IPV or OPV (OPV not available in U.S.); MMR; Hib; Hepatitis B; Varicella; Pneumococcal (PCV); Influenza (during flu season only; October 1 through March 31)

7 through 9 years- Td or Tdap (if DT, DTP, DTaP shown: okay to accept); IPV or OPV (OPV not available in U.S.); MMR; Hepatitis B; Varicella; Influenza (during flu season only; October 1 through March 31)

10 years- Td or Tdap (if DT, DTP, DTaP shown: okay to accept); IPV or OPV (OPV not available in U.S.); MMR; Hepatitis B; Varicella; Influenza (during flu season only; October 1 through March 31)

Here is what I was told by the doc:

The good news:

HEPATITIS A

MEASLES

MENINGOCOCCAL

MUMPS

PNEUMOCOCCAL

POLIO

RUBELLA

TETANUS & DIPTHERIA TOXOIDS

These free from the doctor.

HEPATITIS A

INFLUENZA type B (only for kids)

MEASLES

MENINGOCOCCAL

MUMPS

PNEUMOCOCCAL

PERTUSSIS (only for kids)

POLIO

RUBELLA

TETANUS & DIPTHERIA TOXOIDS

The kids can get from the doctor for free.

You have to go to a private clinic in Southampton for:

HEP B 100 pounds each = 300 pounds

INFLUENZA A 20 pounds each = 60 pounds

CHICKEN POX 90 pounds x 2 shots = 180 pounds each = 540 pounds

ROTAVIRUS 60 pounds x 2 shots = 120 pounds each = 360 pounds

TOTAL = 1,260 pounds for first series.

Influenza is for all 3, chicken pox and rotovirus for the kids hence the x2, and there is a series of 3.

Commiserations. Especially as the kids have all probably had rotavirus anyway, at least according to the statistics. Grr.

Check out your state's school vaccine requirements. If the kids will be able to get out of having vaccines for that then just get the minimum required for immigration, ie ONE of each shot required at the medical.

Also, consider finding someone with chicken pox to hang out with.
