Jamaica Packet 3

We got packet three in the mail friday and figured that many people dont get it that we sould post it to help out. I have attached the three main pages. They also send all of the DS forms, medical forms ( you can find it online here: http://travel.state....L-0001-0707.pdf ), the affidavit of support form I-134, and a few misc things about picture sizes and how to prove you wont be a public charge. You will have to zoom up to read them...Had to make them small in order to attach to the post hope this helps

I just copied, pasted and printed the pages. This will help in ensuring we get the necessary information needed in a timely manner. Although we are march filers, doesnt hurt to have our "ducks" in order before the interview day. Thank you for posted this information.

Just wanting to make sure I understand Packets. So you have to send packet 3 back to even get an interview date? How soon in this process does packet 3 come? I assume packet 4 is your interview appt??? Is there anything else in packet 4?

You have to send the DS 230 Part 1 back for an interview date. You can do this via mail or email...we did it both ways to make sure they got it. Packet three will come after the case clears the NVC and is recieved by the embassy. You can call the Department of State (DOS) to get an update on your case and find out when Kingston recieves it, when they mail out packet 3 ect. There number is 1-202-663-1225 Here is a shortcut for the system to speak to an operator (prob other ways but this is the way I use) press 1,4,2,3,2,0 in that order. Packet 4 is the appointment letter, you will need this for the medical exam as well. I am not sure if anything else is in packet 4...maybe ill post that too once we get it (this week fingers crossed)

For the k-1 visa nothing is sent by you to the NVC.

When you sent the email, what do you write in the body of it? You just attach part one of the DS 230 and request and state that you're asking for an interview date?

Yea we said here is DS 230 part one as per packet 3 for an interview date and asked for our packet 4 via email...which they didnt do lol
