Hey West. I landed in the US on August 20th, got my SSN two weeks after landing, left the US on September 13th without my GC. I only received the GC yesterday. I was getting worried as to why it was taking such a long time.

Ok thanks szoeie! That is a very long wait, I hope I get it soon too.

Hey Guys,

What does "Case Complete" means? I already recieved a case number from NVC, is that what "Case Complete" means?

Hello longlivemania, Case Complete means that you are documentarily qualified. NVC has reviewed all your documents sent in and found them in order and all you have to do now is wait for your Interview letter. In my case my case complete came after my petitioner had paid in my fees as well. Hope this helps you.

Hello All,

I need some advice about what I should do. I am 29 yrs old unmarried male. Below is a timeline for my journey.

Summer 2005: First time in USA to visit father. Returned back home at end of summer

Summer 2006: second time in USA, Changed vistor visa to student visa. Enrolled in community college.

Nov 2008: US citizen father petetioned a greencard for me

Fall 2009: Joined university

June 2013: Graduated from university

June 2014: OPT expires

Whole family (Dad, mum, younger brother) are US citizens.

I do not know what to do if I do not get my greencard before my OPT expires.

Bulletin is out

15th November 2006

E. VISA AVAILABILITY IN THE COMING MONTHS

FAMILY-sponsored categories (potential monthly movement)

Worldwide dates:

F1: Three to five weeks

I'm glad it's predicted to keep moving - slow and steady is better than nothing.

Now, I regret that I left F2b. Im sure, F2b will cross F1 very soon.

Why F1 is not moving, not even a month. mad.gifmad.gif

Thanks a lot. I don't wanna pay $6,500 if I won't need to. I guess it's more important for the categories where the visa is based on marriage.

8 days till my interview.

Meanwhile, good luck to vn0207. His interview is on Tuesday. I hope the typhoon heading to Vietnam won't be very terrible.

Yes, it's very frustrating.

I'd be surprised if they let F2b advance ahead of F1 though. I hope they would be able to reallocate some of those visas to F1 if it got to that point...is that even possible?? Citizenship has always been flaunted as the quickest way to petition your family so they'd have a lot of very unhappy citizens to making a stink otherwise.

No, for the same reason no one posted anything about being asked to present it at interview and I just did not want to waste that money.
