I have been AP since my interview 3/4/2011 the consul gived me yellow paper for AP and to check after 1 week in website of usa embassy in amman for the updates (previously the status just said it was still pending administrative processing and to check back later for updates).

and after 1 week today 10/4/2011 the update is change to

...............

Your Passport Number is: ********

Case Status: As of 07-Apr-2011, your passport is required for additional processing. Please submit the documents listed below to the US Embassy via Aramex within 90 days of the date listed above. Barring unforeseen circumstances that may require additional processing, we hope to adjudicate your application within five to fourteen days from the date we receive your passport. so does it mean my visa approval ?and why they want my passport and they did not end of AP?

and how many days it take to recieve my passport with visa?

All it means is they require your passport. It's not indicative one way or the other of what the end result will be.

It means that IF when they run the last, final checks prior to printing the visa that IF your name does not have a hit then they will print the visa and issue it.

Always a chance that someone with a name similar to yours or some other similar information was placed on the huge, cumbersome, ridiculous terrorist watch list since your AP was completed and that they may have to run you again to see if you are that person (but it will be a much, much shorter AP).

Chances....most likely you will have your visa in 14 days...Congrats.

i received the same email back on december after two and a half months under AP i sent them my passport they put me under AR before they put me back under AP untill now

so no one can tell you what they are doing or how long it take

all you can do just set and wait

good luck i wish you'll get it soon
