I couldn't find any recent Xoom discounts on VJ or by Googling, but I managed come across one....

Try ULTRAFAST

I just did a transfer today and that code zeroed the transfer fee. (Note, code is all caps).

I used Xoom once, but honestly, if you need to send money very often, it is better, easier, and cheaper to just send your loved one an ATM card for your account in the USA. I created a separate savings account for my asawa, and she can withdraw money whenever she needs it, for free. (well, there IS the ATM fees, but my bank refunds those each month)

Just a thought.

Glad a few others were able to get the save too!

@DavenRoxy - agree with you completely. When Machie was still in the Philippines, I gave her an ATM card for one of my bank accounts. We used that method for around 2 years. Couldn't beat the fees and the convenience of being able to send various amounts as needed. Now that my wife is here in the US, we only use Xoom occasionally, when we have something specific that we want to send money to her family for.

Are the coupons usually for specific countries?

I've used Xoom a couple times to send money to Nicaragua but I haven't been able to save money by using coupon codes. I tried this one but didn't work...however it might have been just for April.
