omo - the casefile still has to undergo the final review process, before it's lobbed over into the scheduling queue.

Suggest the USCitizen Spouse call NVC, get a Human, inquire for casefile status.

krisca - no, they are not the same. Some of the data gathered is the same, but the forms are not the same. Usage of the forms is not the same, as well.

The DS-260 is essentially the DS-230, but online. Only eligible countries can fill out the online forms: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_5165.html (table at the bottom).

hi again, i have an AOS related question. my husband's tax agency filed his tax return as single since im not there yet. will that be a problem? also we are having a little bit of problem understanding the AOS, since my husband is short a couple of bucks so we will be needing a co-sponsor. Which we already have. My navy friend will co sponsor. I just dont know if me and my 3yr old daughter be needing separate AOS and will my friend be needing to sign two separate i864? and the same goes with my husband, will he be needing to file two separate i864? thanks for the help. . .

Woohoo finally, SIF. I just called NVC and they said that they have reviewed our DS-230/civil docs = nothing missing. That its in final review before the case is closed. In about a week it should be completed. Hope is done this week to get a May interview date.

Welcome! Since you're going through Montreal like me, I would suggest reading the Canadian-specific guide I linked to in the first post in this thread. I wrote it myself and it will explain all about Electronic Processing and the online forms.

Sign in fail today, they finally opened up my j1 visa i sent on march 20.

Called up and got the official final review case update and to be on the lookout for a visa interview!

How long would it take from now?

Medical is still on for wednesday for me ( i thought the visa would take a bit longer than it did)
