Ok, so passed the interview and got our welcome to the us "Letter." Cant say it was much of a letter as it was a photocopied piece of paper. Approved on a Friday, I'm hoping that we have the DHL packet shipped by next Friday? I tentatively took off the 27,28,29th to help move, but not sure if that was enough time. Hopefully so!

I'm on business day 5 but according to DoS, I'm in administrative processing. I don't know why I'm in AP, I'm hoping that (according to what other VJ'ers have said) it was a term DoS used incorrectly, meaning it's still in the processing stages. I have tried calling DoS a few time today, but they have been very busy. Still keeping faith that I'm not really in true "AP".

OMG 100 days!!!!! Did they ever tell you why it was held up?? How did you stay sane during that time? I am going crazy with it being a month since my interview and approval and no passport back.

Finally I got my passport back with visa after 100 days waiting. I was in AP but not sure why.

Thanks for everyone on this forum for support and all kind of information.

To update with me: I was never in true AP, it was just actually processing.

abha37911: Were you or your spouse from another country originally? Certain countries always go into AP after approval in the interview stage, if you look at the Forum for Waivers/Administrative Processes, the list is there.

I was mildly curious about this as well. I am about as far away from Quebec as one can be (British Columbia) so I assume I'll wait longer than 1-3 business days!

@edsotherhalf: where about's are you?

On an unrelated note, I've never understood why they don't process CR/IR-1 visas in Vancouver. :( Stinks you have to travel so far!

1 week after interview, still not shipped. My husband was supposed to fly back on the 4th, but I think we're going to have to postpone his flight. The problem is, I'm not sure what day to book the ticket for. It seems as if some people have had to wait an inordinate amount of time - much longer than the 2 weeks the Consulate told us. And, if we book last minute, it's going to cost a LOT of money, since he's flying from Vancouver to the east coast of the U.S. :(

Ok this thread is very disheartening! Please someone post some good news here. Has anyone recently gotten their passport back with visa in 2 weeks or less?

We scheduled our wedding for 2 and a half months after the interview assuming that would be plenty of time. :bonk:
