Approved!!!! good look to everyone with next interviews

Congratulations! star_smile.gif

Wow, really? Here in Canada they use those passport pictures for the visa blink.gif

When I had my interview in Montreal in 2009 they let me choose which photos I wanted to use; the ones submitted with the DS-230 or the ones I brought. I told them to use the ones I had sent and I never did need the ones I took to the interview.

All approved!

Congratulations! star_smile.gif

Congratulations! I'm scared to hear about the NVC-caused delay, but looking forward to more details!

I am 100% approved, but the NVC did not send my Police Certificate AND my Wifes I-864 to the embassy.

Everything else was sent, except these two pieces. Nice. :(

I didn't even have the proper second interview with the American person as he spent the time helping me arrange a pick up today from my house with the embassy's own delivery company.

It is partly my fault, as I should have took copies of everything with me. I did not expect the NVC to mess up like this in a big way.

I just pray that it will not delay me much as I want to fly at the end of May.

The NVC blot has taken a shine off the whole thing.

I'm going to ring them up later and give them an opportunity to explain themselves and apologise, and I'll ask them to pay for a new Police Certificate. I know they won't but I want to vent.

Lesson learnt! Please take copies of all your NVC forms to the embassy, just in case!!

The embassy are accepting copies of the Police and I-864 I have here at home as the NVC have already accepted them.

Thanks. :)

I got home around 8 last night and I was up till about half eleven printing out the forms we'd spread over a cd and my laptop. The morning of the interview, I'd been awake since about 1am with butterflys lol, so I was in a really shitty place in my head.

Just glad my forms are now on their way to the Embassy.

I rang the NVC earlier and spoke to a 'supervisor', they would not apologise at first, and still would not say sorry when I asked for one. All I want is a simple 'sorry'. The woman wouldn't even give me her surname either, claiming she was the only "[first_name]" at the NVC.

She gave me a number for the Visa department in Washington, but it's another call centre scenario. My things are on their way to the Embassy, I've been approved, so I don't want to take it further.

The only positive thing to come from this is being able to warn people here, and another forum. To take copies of every piece of paper you've submitted to the NVC. If I can help another person, it will have been worth it.

My wife just got off the phone with the local 2GO office. They told her the visa is with the driver, and will be at her house this afternoon. Tomorrow, CFO for the stamp/sticker in her passport. Then early next week it's POE in Las Vegas. Thank God, and all the VJ members who helped me stay sane throughout this process. For all of you who are not "there" yet; keep the faith, and God bless you all!
