I am a usa citizen by birth. My dads family lives in the Philippines. I visited 2009 till ealry 2010. I live with my mother in Kentucky now. I personally do not make enough income to get my finance here. That is my main thought. My mother is supported by my very rich aunt her house ect. Mom has no income. I work fastfood. I have NOONE that can co sponsor. what can i do? iThank you

I assume you've already asked the 'very rich aunt' you mentioned?

I'm not aware of any way to get around the sponsor requirement.

So, if you are unable to meet the poverty guidelines, you will not be approved for your fiance(e) to immigrate.

is your aunt a USC or LPR? if so, can't she joint sponsor you?

if not, or you'll have to take your time and try to find someone or wait until you make enough. There's nothing you can do. if you don't make enough, you need a joint sponsor.

Um.

Trying to think of how to say this without coming off wrong but... err...

Get a better job?

If you can't find a co-sponsor, then you really have no other option.

That is, unless you have 3x the poverty line in savings/assets. Which I'm guessing you already had considered.

I have never made that kind of money I do not see that ever in my future. It seem very slim for a joint sponsor.

Only other option I could see is: Could you move to where she lives?

If your family are citizens of that country, you may be able to immigrate there, rather than her coming here. (If she is from the Philippines.)

I don't see a lot of other alternatives for you.

Sorry.

I'm afraid I don't know.

You'd have to check their embassy website and do some research.

This site focuses on immigration to the United States.

As far as I am aware, all family-based immigrant visas require a sponsor.

You could always train for work in another field to increase your chances of getting a job that will pay enough to meet the financial obligations of one sponsoring an immigrant. Then you'll be financially better able to pay for all the expenses of the visa process, and you'll be able to provide for both of you while she's not allowed to work (if you go the fiancee visa route).

I have never made that kind of money I do not see that ever in my future. It seem very slim for a joint sponsor.

You need to earn a bit under $19,000 per year to sponsor your fiancee. That's one full time job and another 15 hours a week elsewhere at $7 per hour.

The Philippines does not always accept co-sponsors for K-1 petitions. You will also have to be mindful of this.
