If You Cannot See Your USCIS Case Status Online...

I contacted USCIS customer service recently to check my case status since I could not see it online. They couldn't see it either so they referred me to the following email. Note: this is for the California Service Center. I'm guessing your service center initials would take the place of "csc" at the beginning if you have a different service center.

csc-ncsc-followup@dhs.gov

I was told to provide the following information in my email.

*Case Number

*When filed I-130

*Priority Date of NOA1

*The Problem You Have aka Cannot See Case Status Online.

I think that you have to have a reasonable amount of time between your filing and NOA1 date and when you make this inquiry. Like sending this email two weeks after your NOA1 date doesn't constitute much of a problem yet for USCIS. Maybe wait about a month (and keep checking to see if the Case Number is working). My time period between NOA1 and me contacting USCIS Follow Up at CSC was over 2 months.

The time period that the Follow Up should get back to you in is 21 days. My reply was 2 business days after I had sent the email. I guess it depends on volume of mail, other work stuff, etc...

We'll get through this!! Have faith!

I hope this is a ray of sunshine to those who still can't see their status--I know it was for me.

Blessings,

Ashley Mercado
