Hello,

I have similar questions. I am trying to bring my parents here in the US far east (central Asia).

1- Should I apply for my parents, my sisters and brothers who are under 21 years old and using the same form (I-130) for all of them (two forms one for each parent)?

2- Should I list my brothers and sisters on both, father and mother I-130 forms?

Another question. My brother is 16 years old, can I apply ONLY for him and bring him here in the US by filling form I-130?

Appreciate you guys help.

Thanks,

F

YES - you must list their children on page 2 , section C. #17 on both forms

YES YOU CAN - but it is quicker and easier for your mother OR father to do this when they get here.

Appreciate you guys help.

Thanks,

F

Can't sisters and brothers come with parents at the same time? If parents come in here first, no one will be there to take care of brothers and sisters for the simple fact that I have sisters and brothers who are like 4, 8, 11 and 16.

Another question. If one parent comes in here via I-130, how, when that one parent can apply for children? Immediately or wait till the that one parent is a US citizen?

Thanks,

F

The children are not immediate relatives.

You can file for them as siblings, and wait.

Unmarried children can be petitioned by PR's

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

ditto.

each and every one NEED a separate i130. siblings will take more than 10 years, no matter the age. they cannot come together

so that's why the other's are saying that it is better to only file for parents and they can file for their unmarried children.

so they will have to leave them behind for some years.

Thanks for the information. Another questions. So once one or both parents are in the US, how long do they need to wait till they apply for the children that they left behind? Can the parents apply for the kid immediately right after they get to the STATE?

Thanks,

F

They can petition for their unmarried children on the day they arrive in the US as LPRs. However, it takes years for an LPR to petition for an unmarried child. It could be anywhere from 3 years to 8 years; even longer for Filipinos.
