This may not be required, but I always like to make things neat and tidy with a cover letter.

Customize as needed of course...I needed an extra sheet since my husband had been married twice before. Again - This is what I chose to send...not everyone may choose to send the identical items.

To Whom it may concern:

Please find enclosed my application for US Citizenship. Along with the N-400 form, I have included the following:

1 additional sheet with answers to Part 8 section G (husbands previous marriage)

2 recent passport size photographs of myself

Photocopies of my Green card (I-551front and back), current Virginia State ID and current Canadian passport

Photocopies of my husbands current US passport and current Virginia State ID

Photocopy of my marriage certificate

Photocopies of IRS tax transcripts from 2007, 2008 and 2009 filed by my husband and me

A letter from our bank indicating my husbands and my joint accounts and dates

Photocopies of my US husbands divorce decrees from his former marriages

Sincerely,

Edited by Udella&Wiz
