OATH CEREMONY DESCHEDULED - OAKLAND PARK, FL

So this afternoon, we got a I-797C notice from USCIS that they have descheduled hubby's oath ceremony for March 2nd. Is there anyone else from the Oakland Park office that received this notice, by chance, or from any other office for this date? I am going to call the 800 number, but I am not holding out much hope to get a competent answer on why it's been descheduled

Make an infopass appointment if they don't transfer you to a Tier 2 Supervisor. That's just crazy!!!

We scheduled the infopass appointment. Earliest time was in March and I will have hubby call USCIS to speak to a Tier 2 sup. Regular cust svc is no use at all

Yap. got a Letter to from USCIS , they Deschedule my March 2nd Oath taking too. Which supposedly will take place in Oakland Park, do not know what's going on!!! Hope for the best.

Hi Ja Tam, I looked at your Hubby's processing dates, I was also interviewed January 6, 2011, and was schedule for oath taking March 2, but as I said they descheduled it, I guess It is something going on on The USCIS office not the applicant's fault, so anyway , if you get to talk to someone from USCIS thru infopass, please post what they have to say ...thanks!!

I have the same issue and same letter saying I am descheduled for March 2 in Oakland Park, Florida for 13.30

I was so happy when I got my letter for Oak Ceremony I was jumping and now GRRRRRRRRRRR. I talked to my layewer he said he has a friend there and will talk to them Tomorrow (02.22.2011) morning and see if the Whole Ceremony was canceled or is it just me.

I will call him after 11:00 and see what he says and I will post his answear on Forum.

If anyone know any information please post I need to know.

I just got an Update from a friend who works in that Place in Oakland Park, FL. They said that they had 2 dates for Oath Ceremony one for March 2 and one for March 9th and both of them got mixed up in computer so they canceled both. We will get rescheduled at soon I hope. Thats all I know so dont worry about any issues we just have to wait a bit more.

Aleksandr, thank you for the info. It's a relief to know that it's not something specific to my husband's case. Hopefully our rescheduled oath ceremony is in the mail this week!

Hey everybody, I hope you all are having a great weekend. Just wanted to keep you all updated. My hubby's new oath ceremony letter came in the mail today - a week later than originally, but at least we got it - March 9th @ 1:30p!!!! :dance:

I just got that letter too my Laywer called me and told me that I have rescheduled for March 9th, 1.30 pm
