Well, there was some idea about being January 2011 filers, but we took a little too long getting everything together today, so it'll go out in the mail February 1! :D

After our wedding 11/21/2010, we waited close to six weeks for the Hawaii Department of Health to send the certified copy of our marriage certificate (they're tied up responding to requests for Obama's birth certificate, you see). Then I called them, and it turned out they didn't know how to spell the name of the county park, in Hawaii, where we'd gotten married. :blink: Once I got that sorted out, we quickly got a few certified copies of the marriage certificate, Viv got her name changed on her social security card, we got her added to my health insurance from work, and so on.

Then last night, looking at documents we were getting together to assemble the AOS/I-765/I-131 packet, I glanced at one of the certified copies and noticed that my wife's birthdate was wrong by three months. Glanced at another... uh-oh, wrong too. Called them this morning, they pulled the original form, and said that it had actually been wrong on the marriage license we got and signed. D'oh! :angry: Anyway, they're going to see about getting it fixed; I'll send back wrong ones, they'll send corrected ones.

So the I-485 cover letter has to point out that there's a clerical error in the marriage certificate birthdate... hope USCIS understands! By the time of any interviews, we should have corrected ones in hand.

Congrats that is nice to get everything! We got greencard and welcome letter on the first of April....we got txt on the 5th that EAD card was ordered but up until now we still have not gotten the EAD

...and then the big snowstorm hit Chicago. Wonder how much it'll delay the mail. :)

Oh geesh!!!! I forgot about the snow storm that they are having I hope the roads are clear and that all will be able to return to work by Monday. My AOS pkt should arrive no later than monday.......

We sent the AOS package today (AOS from J1) and lady from the post office said the package will get to Chicago tomorrow at 4.12 pm according to their estimations. I forgot about the storm! As I am writing this, on TV they say that Chicago will get more snow tomorrow! Whoever prayed for snow, please stop!

PS. I know, a moderator will move it to AOS from Student, Work Visa! SOrry!

4-30-2011-Day 88-Welcome to America letter received

5-4-2011-Day 92 - received green card in mail (8 days after the interview) - it is kinda green!!!!
