(first off if this is misplaced... sorry)

regards to USC child leaving Philippines for the first time.

if any of you have gone through or will be going through

it says on this link that i needed to get her a Philippine passport. She already has a U.S. passport and I've already applied for both our dual citizenship which is already approved.

i was told at the Philippine Bureau of Immigration that it was unnecessary for me to get her a Philippine passport. also that she doesn't need the ECC since she is a dual citizen.

anyway, if any of you are in the same boat, chime in. be much appreciated. thanks in advance!

im planning to get my sons P.I. passport next week, his also a U.S Citizen...Having P.I.passport of our child will be the proof of their dual citizenship...We dont need to get them ECC once they have P.I. passport...I have read in old post here that she didnt apply for her babys P.I. passport nor get ECC and she ended up paying almost 100 dollar to the P.I. immigartion people during their departure...so better schedule appointment now for your babys passport to eliminate hassles later...:)

i'm actually going to the Bureau of Immigration sometime this week to pick up our dual citizenship certificate. i asked the last time i was there and they told me all i needed to show was the certificate and that it wasn't mandatory to get a phil passport. i'll double check again to see if anything's changed. i wouldn't put it passed the B of I to give bad info...

anyway thanks for your 2 cents. will let you know what they tell me

I have a related issue. If someone can answer definitively, I'd really appreciate it.

My wife and son are flying in 24 hours. She went to the CFO seminar and got the stamp in her passport. My son is a dual-passport holder. She did not get a stamp for him. Does he need a stamp to leave the country if we show both his passports? We got the Phils passport specifically to avoid having to pay the departure tax. Will this be ok without the CFO stamp in his passport? Please, if someone knows, let me know ASAP....
