G-325A Form Question

Hello. I am a USC spouse, going to petition for my Japanese wife. The I-130 form says I and she both have to file G-325As. Now at the bottom of the G-325A form, there is a space which says "Applicant:print your name and alien registration number in the box outlined by heavy border below."

Well, I guess in a sense I'm the applicant, since I am filing the I-130 on behalf of my wife. So my name goes in that space? And on her G-325A, she would also put my name at the bottom, since I am the one applying? Or is it her name that goes there, since she's the beneficiary?

And since our names will appear at the top of the page anyway, I wonder why they need something at the bottom as well, although thats just an editorial comment. Anyhow, advice will be appreciated!

Hi!

I would say on your application put a N/A in the box for alien registration number, and on your wife's put her name at the bottom.

3-24-2011-Day 45-case showing up online!!!! USCIS mailed on 3-23 my interview appt letter- April 26 is the day!

3-26-2011-Day 48-Received interview appt letter

4-1-2011-Day 59- USCIS mailed I-131 approval and ordered production of my new card (I assume the combined EAD/AP)

4-11-2012-Day 69- received EAd&AP combo in mail! Bad picture!

Moving this to IR-1/CR-1 since K-3 (I-129F) gets closed at NVC stage and they proceed with I-130 for a CR-1 visa.

Applicant on US Citizen's Petitioner's G-325A is US Citizen, and applicant on foreign Citizen's Beneficiary's G-325A is the foreign Citizen.

Hi!

I would say on your application put a N/A in the box for alien registration number, and on your wife's put her name at the bottom.

And she has to sign her form as well, of course. Actually, on her form, she is the applicant, even if you are filing it out for her. You are just helping her fill it out...she is still required to sign it. I actually didn't print my name on the bottom of my form either...I typed it into the PDF form directly and printed it and signed it. That may not be technically correct, but USCIS didn't seem to have a problem with it.

Actually N/A means Not Applicable. In the case of Beneficiary this could be applicable they could have has an A# before, if never had an A# before the proper answer is "NONE"

+1

You place the name of the person whom the form G-325A is filled out for. Your name for yours and her name for hers. Don't try to over-complicate things. :D
