Just a quick update. I got the completed DS-230 packet from my mom in the Philippines, together with all the civil documents. However, her NBI Clearance doesn't have the thumb print. My mom said that she asked the staff after she got the envolope but the lady said she's done. So, she went home and sent it to me.

I researched here and there's one member who got an RFE because of this thumb print.

So I won't take the risk and just asked my mom to get an NBI Clearance, again ;(

I think the thumbprint is a requirement the same thing that a credit card is not valid without a signature. If I were you, I will go ahead and submit all the docs for DS-230 processing since this takes time. Ask you mom to get another NBI clearance and make sure to put her thumb print this time. If there is something wrong with the NBI clearance you sent, they will send an RFE and it will be faster this time.

Well there was one sort of mistake anyway on the DS-230 so she'll redo that one too. So yes I will wait and send all the documents once. No one is in a hurry in the family anyway so it will work out fine.

A quick update. Got an e-mail form NVC that the I-864 packet is accepted and now just waiting for DS-230.

My mom sent the DS-230 through a regular post office a week ago. We'll see.

i'm looking at your timeline for your parent process. I wonder how can you pay IV fee($404) right after AOS fee ($88)?

It's shown on mine for AOS fee is PAID.

What should I do next?

or how will I get the invoice to pay for IV fee?

when would i do i-864 for them?

I am trying to save times to process their paper work

You need to wait for the IV bill to appear. It usually takes a day or two.

They will generate the bill after they accepted your DS 3032. It will take a week or so. Keep checking the emails and Payment site. I sent mine last Friday, I am waiting too. It could be any day now. Probably yours will be first than mine!!!!!!

Update on my case. Today I paid the IV fee. Now Iam waiting for my mom to send me her paperwork. She said it will take 3 days to get here via Fedex.

Your parents can have their medical as soon as you will have a case number from NVC. It starts with MNL2011XXXXXX.

EthanJM is right. Your parents can walk-in in St. Luke's once you got their NVC case numbers.

They need to bring these items:

1. Valid Passport

2. Passport photocopy

3. NOA 2 (Or an e-mail form NVC showing their case numbers.

4. Copies of #3.

5. 4 2x2 photos – white background, with both ears uncovered and without earrings.

6. Black pen

7. Jacket (it’s cold inside)
