You should here something in the next wk i guess...

Did you fill out that G-1145 form and added to the top of your N-400 Application? This form when filled out wil have your e mail address/ cell number and the uscis will send you updates of your status.

If you have'nt done so yet...no problem when you have your Notice of action receipt in the post (soon hopefully) there be a receipt number there on your (N.O.A)....go on the uscis website look for case status and there you will have to add in your receipt number something like NBC*########### and then fill out the form for auto up-dates...to your e mail address/cell phone text message.

I can't put my hand on my heart and say the uscis will be on the ball with up-dates on your status ect....but at least you can have something to play about with over the next 4/5 mths..

Hey Nigel,

Ya, I filled out the G-1145 and sent that in too...and once I get my NOA I'll set up my case on the USCIS site. For some reason though, I'm not stressing at all about this step in the process, in comparison to the K1/AOS/ROC . I guess I'm a hardened Visa Veteran now :yes::lol: (I also did immigration for my 15 year old stepdaughter a couple years ago, she's now 15 and here on a 1-130 with a 10yr greencard).

However, I think that my wife is more anxious about this step than the prior immmigration steps! She's definitely excited about becoming a USA citizen and getting a USA passport. :thumbs:

Hi Bish..

I agree...as myself been through the Mill once or twice to say the least...with forms (X2) i-130 / F-129 / I-824 and the dreaded I-601 waiver for a short overstay in 2003/4 Not to mention i was refused entry in the us in 2004 after my 130 was approved via uscis letter but then, only to be denied at my 130 interveiw as then i needed to submit a 601 waiver for my o.s. I was kept away from my wife and child for almost 2 yrs....

So yep ive been through a lot more than this stuff....But one of many things ive learned when dealing with such people, that it makes you harder and i "Never" take things for granted when it comes to the uscis/d.h.s.

You got to play it there way or hit the highway....simple as that.

updating mine, got NOA thru email/txt on the 21st and got the NOA thru mail yesterday 24th.. also our check was cashed yesterday :)

03/25/2011 I received the Passport, FINALLY US Citizen, thanks god :-)

Sounds good Nigel, looks like you got it and like you said, if anyone don't know how to do it, then they can just ask for someone to update them to make it easier for everyone and so we can all benefit from each other's timelines . Jen&Paul and many others probably just didn't know how to do it which is ok no problem, that's what we are here for biggrin.gif

I know..i know ..tell me about it...ive been ducking all day long trying to get this dam pipe fixed outside due to the cold snap we had the last wk..

Ive been back and forth so many times to home depot this wk, i think there going to offer me a job..

It feels like im back at home in the UK always peein down there also..

it seems to have held off now thank god....im behind on this honey-do list :whistle: hope it be dry tomoz :innocent:

Yep seems like we are building up a bit of a party here...

Ill soon be asking Jan N-400 members the 2011 civic questions.....just to keep you guys in tip top condition for your interveiw day..

Today looks like no rain but windy windy!

Well is not me taking the test, it's my husband, but I can relay the questions to him. He'll need to study too!! I don't know, honestly, if I'd be able to answer all of them though!

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!
