Happy to See You Here! We'll make sure you're on the timeline too.

Hehe, scanning your cell phone. That's cute! :)

Becaaaaaaaaaaaazzzzzzz I could not get records of texts I had sent and ATT was going to do an update on my fone, but they told me it was going to ERASE ALL MY SAVED TEXTS!!! :crying::angry: I wouldn't let them update till I took pics of the messages. We need those! LOL But Hey! Our records look great in colour.

Ok........ now this is going to sound quite bazaar but I am looking out my glass door  and I am seeing a floating 'thing with spikes and its changing colours from blue to red!!!" Just now I went to see what the heck it was and it's making a wheezing buzzing sound!!!!!!!! LOL OMG It's freaking me out! :alien: Its not like a kite either.... its like spaceship :alien: like thingy! LOL > #######?!:alien: I am calling the police! There are no homes back on that hill! LOL I have been losing my mind ever since I've been on this VJ I think.

Great Idea Mari

I had sent in a contact log sheet of our visits to each other's countries; copies of facebook where people congratulated our engagement; but...I never thought to include the VJ profile page!! I will do this for sure for the next round of our on going relationship proof.

Stay positive December filers!

Enjoy your day,

Lise

:jest::rolleyes: No need to get bored waiting around K-1's! We have things to get ready for... like our NOA2 Packet 2!! (Even if we do have to wait 5+ months).:jest:

Last night I finally put a completed duplicate copy of our K1 petition [packet #1] together for my Fiance's records. A good idea to bring to his interview in case he needs a document from it (*copy only --it's the same one I filed & they will have it at the Embassy). I can send it to him when he comes back from Base next month. Now I'm preparing for the NOA2 documents that we will have to complete. This packet [packet #2], is mainly his stuff, but we weren't sure if he was going to be back from working abroad so I have his documents in case I needed to send them in for him. Also, I still need to get them translated into English.

$$$$$ Affidavit of Support Forms: $$$$$

I needed to know what kind of proof I'll need to back up my assets(bank statements, pay-stub & letter from employer, copy of insurance policy for homeowners and/or renter's ins., End of Year 2010 statement of IRA-Roth, on the I-134... and later the I-864. The USCIS requires the USC to file the I-134 & I-864 forms. These are your promisory notes to our US Govt. that your fiance /spouse will not become a public charge; Also called, Affidavit of Support. Here are the links below for your viewing pleasure! lol ** I only drafted, or practiced filling out the form so I can get an idea regarding my Tax Returns for 2008,09 and 10 which is not complete yet. For me, it's a good time to plan ahead because Tax Season is upon us and I want to know exactly where I stand!

You can read all about both Affidavit forms on the VJ forums & the USCIS website, but I thought I'd mention them here since "we have nothing to do but wait... " :clock:

Packet #2:

Here is the Official USCIS Website link and it has a list for K-1 Petitioners who have been Approved to Apply for your soon to be spouse's US VISA!! :dancing:

  • Remember: We are Petitioners waiting for the Approval (NOA2), so we an APPLY FOR OUR FUTURE SPOUSE's VISA (the only reason I mention this is that somebody was corrected on the forum as they mixed up the difference between petition and application so it confused the readers).
  • You can print this list for your records at:
  • http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_2994.html#5 <<<< USCIS OFFICIAL LINK JUST FOR US K-1's !

Summary:

  1. Duplicate copy of exact I-129F file you sent USCIS for your Sweetheart (fiance)(L) Incidently, did you make one for yourself?
  2. Practice and Draft the I-134 & I-864 Affidavits of Support: Get your supporting evidence ready (just in time for tax season!)
  3. Review List required for Packet #2 on OFFICIAL USCIS WEBSITE (above link) and start collecting and gathering all yours & fiance's documents
  4. Be sure to have all foreign languages translated into English (And PLEASE REVIEW WHAT CERTIFIED COPY OF TRANSLATION MEANS ON VJ FORUM so you have good understanding).

OK well.... Happy Saturday My Fellow Worldwide Dec 2010 K-1 VJ Family & God Bless Our Visa Journeys!

Mari

PS: Please if you have friends who are also Dec 2010 K-1's (I-129F/ fiance visa), maybe you can invite them to our thread!

I hope I don't have typos here... I haven't had my coffee yet. lol

Lise,

What is a contact log? Is that something like a fone record we keep in an office to write down who, what, when, and where type of information? (F) Is it for Canadians only? LOL (F)

Ongoing Relationship Records Since NOA1 Date

  • Primary Evidence: Airline Itinerary & Boarding Pass, Pics with your Darlin' , Wedding Date *( Ok this might be a little premature but how about a "Save the Date" with your engagement pic printed up? Hotel Receipts, all that good stuff)
  • Secondary Evidence: Phone records, US Postal Stamp & Fiance's country Postal Stamp on your love letter envelopes, pictures you sent each other from abroad with your name and DATE on back if not time stamped on pic, and all that stuff).

You sure have good organizational skills Mari!

I also try to stay ahead of the game, I sent away for my long-form birth certificate some time ago.

In Canada you have to send away to the province you were born and if I remember there was a bit of a wait.

Also, I had to do a bit of digging to answer all the questions on the form. My next step will be to have my

vaccine, I know I am due this month for my 10yr booster. I will then have an updated vaccination record for my medical. As soon as we get our NOA2 I will do my police check. A practice run of the I-134 is a good idea. I will chat with Michael about that today. As for our contact log, I decided to do this as we both have free long distance within North America, so no phone records, we do not get passport stamps because we travel by car. So I figured if I kept track of each of our entries into each other's countries signed and dated by both of us that could show ongoing relationship. It is basically 2 columns; one for the date/year and the other a description of our visit. Some have comments about graduations, funerals, weddings, holidays, get togethers with friends etc. I highlighted Michael's visits in blue and mine in pink. ie. I also know via a friend who has Canadian relatives living in the USA who are in the process of naturalizing, on thier forms they were asked to account for travel back and forth from the USA - Canada. SO , if I decide to nautralize I will be able to account to the best of my knowledge our travel. I figure it is better to be as prepared as possible when navigating through the process of immigration.

Off to do laundry and frost my granddaughter's money cake!

Have a great day!

Lise

Lise that is excellent information for our Fiance(e)'s coming in from Canada (and other countries)! Thanks for sharing that because most countries have that stretch of time to get the official documents (long form birth certificates, divorce decree, death certificates, etc). All this busy body admin paperwork takes a lot more time than we think. Sometimes I think it's the information needed that takes more time to document than the processing time of the form! Watch if we all keep diligently working on our VJ, that 5+ mos will get here before we all know it!

You seem to be well ahead of the game and so Kudos to you girl!
