Hey darnell. My Fiance still hasnt received her Visa.

The interview was approved. But the Visa is still being processed.

I remember on the pink approval form. It states she can pick the Visa up the next day at the embassy or she can request it to be mailed to her in 3 days.

Why do they write this. but take so long processing it?

can you tell me how long it actualy takes to get the visa in hand?

Once I will post a long reply later about GUZ.

Hope she will get her Visa soon. and that they found no problems.I guess if they did have an issue on it. they would call her right?

Hey Guys here is the long awaited reveiw on my time at GUZ.

Firstly I visited her on Nov 28th. I arrived at 12am.

I stayed with her in her apartment .

The first day we took alot of pictures with her parents to add to the already 50 or so.

then we took the High speed train to GUZ. Her uncle lives there so he demanded we stay with him instead of getting a hotel.

We also took alot of pics with her uncle and his family.

He drove us to the Medical exam And to the bank to pay the Visa fee.We both took a taxi on Dec 2nd at 6am the line to the embassy was very long.

About 500 people.The time was schedueld at 7:15am. But we didnt even get in the building untel 7:20.

I was not allowed to sit in on the interview so I waited in this exspencive cafe. 49rmb for a tiny cup of coffie lol.

I waited there talking to 5 other americans 2 of them for K3s 3 for K1s. It took about 3 or 4 hours.I was so nervous.

I was watching alot of girls with denial letters walking by.

Finaly about 12pm she walks out with a big smile on her face I knew that it was good news.

She told me they asked her about 15 questions.Ex: where will you marry?Why do you want to marry an american?Whats his job?Whats your job?and some other questions.

At the end we felt so releaved attlast after 2 long years we got the Visa

ok guys her visa was issued yesterday thank God no problems.

No she is not guangzhou is it ok for her uncle to pick up the Visa for her?

because she is in her working city now Changsha.

Now the next step is AOS? hope yall can help me with this process next .

Hey Guys I just got back from China.

Her interview was on dec 2nd.

Pink. Approved after 2 years we got it.

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 24, 2011 - Per USCIS website, petition approved and notice mailed.

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!

March 18, 2011 - POE together. JFK and O'Hare airports. Legal wedding: May 16, 2011.

Sorry I don't have the answers for you, but I have a question about your SO's visa.

What does it mean when you said her visa was issued but not picked up? Did the consulate call you or you got the information from an email?

So they give you the option of picking up the visa at the consulate? I think it is a better option than having them mail it to a post office or a residential address myself.

Her City is not one of the cities that can mailed directly to.

The embassy did not call me I called the DOS and they had the info about the case.

hey darnell. My fiance just got her visa

She will come here in april.

the visa is good for 6 months right?

I dont want to rush her here I want her to spend some time with her family and friends because it will be about a year before she can go back to vist.

I hope you can help me trough the AOS process.

Can you please tell me if your SO did her medical in Guangzhou, if so, did she do it at the Health Care Center of Guangdong International Travel in Shamian Island or the Guangzhou United Family Clinic?

Any comments or advice about medical there? Oh, and vaccination too.

I THINK YOUR WIFE should KICK YER @SS and HELP YOU HERSELF !!!
