No updates yet. ONline message still says as Intial Review. Called 1800 today and agent did not know why it was updated-but she created a SR for me and e-mailed CSC to get info why my case was updated on 04/04 but no updates yet.

Will post as soon I hear something.

My case was also touched on March 18th last month, but has not heard anything about approval yet. Do you think I should call too? What is an SR by the way?

it will be assigned in about 10 days and since a visa # is not available as yet they are not likely to send out any documents... but a letter saying there are no visa numbers. forgot you had two.

SR is a case submitted by a customer service person or immigration officer. The request is sent to the service center where thr case is located.

The request gives feedback as to the status of the case.

My I-130 has been approved NOA2 date: 4/4/2011

what exactly does SR do??

4/20/2010: Met for the first time

8/01/2010: Moved in together at his parents

5/29/2011: Asked me to marry him :)

7/01/2011: Started renting my sister's guest room together

7/14/2011: Got married officially

USCIS

10/26/2011: sent I-130 I-485 and I-765

11/02/2011: received Email USCIS Acceptance Confirmation for I-130 I-485 and I-765

11/03/2011: received NOA1 for I-130 I-485 and I-765

11/23/2011: Biometrics appointment for I-485 and I-765

01/09/2012: Recieved EAD in mail

02/08/2012: Interview Date (APPROVED!)

what exactly does SR do??

A service Request gives the status on a case when outside the normal processing time frame. Since your case is approved it would do you no good. Now that you're at the NVC stage you can call them and speak with a supervisor or feel free to email them at NVCINQUIRY@state.gov

how can we do SR before 5 months Richardo?

Well to do this.. before the 5 months.. you would use your congress / senator to contact USCIS and get a case status... LESS STRESSING.

I didn't find a thread for November 2010 filers and hence I will post here even though I filed for my wife and son in Nov 2010.

I sent the petition in Nov 17 (I think) and received NOA-1 on Nov 22. Since then, I haven't heard anything. I am waiting for NOA-2.

My priority date is September 9th 2010 and still no NOA2... i'm getting so frustrated we ring and they say ring again in a week and so on then wait till the end of April THEN call. Hopefully we hear something by May....

Hope u hear something soon. MINE was October 06, 2010 and i got my NOA2 ON APRIL 18
