If you are a USC, then you eligible to petition your parents. You will need:

1. Your birth certificate

2. You marriage certificate (to show name change)

3. Check $330.00

4. Filled out form I-130

5. Copy of Naturalization Certificate

6. Filled out form G-1145 (not required)

Upon filing, you will receive NOA stating they got to receive it. It will then take 3-5 months or who knows before NOA2 stating the approval.

I will file mine for my mom too, soon. So we're going to be on the same boat. Keep us updated!

Yes, you need to prove to USCIS that you are your parents' child and one way to do is to provide your birth certificate and your parent's birth certificate. It won't hurt submitting it up front. You will submit their birth certificates later anyway. Just do the best you can for your case. :)

per the I-130's instructions the petitioner's birth certificate is required to show relationship. If you submit the Mother?Father's birth Certificate that does nothing.. it just shows who he/she is and who is THEIR mother/father.

Hope this helped.

I agree. It's taking between 8-10 months. I just noticed that NVC process is going very smooth as fast for me until parents missed the PCC and They would get it by next Tuesday so I'm waiting for that document before I send DS-230. So it put my process 2 weeks behind.

I-130 Timeline for brother-in-law (Mother-in-law applied it)

11/23/13- Received NOA1 (VSC)

8/13/2019- Touched (Needs a verification document)
