Hi Gents,

May anyone simply tell me what forms should I fill & what attachments are needed in my case?

My case is:

We are filling DCF from Egypt. We got I-130 approved, then

my wife stopped work since May 2008 as we lived together in Egypt since June 2008.

her salary cannot support us

her brother will be co sponsor, he lives in his house with his brother & his father.

we wrote his address as the address that we will live in @ the States. [ same address]

What should we fill? I-864 or I-864 A, and what tax papers are required from both my wife & his brother?

I'm really confused regarding that issue, and your support will be highly appreciated.

Thanks alot

sorry but you are not making it clear to us ,do you need a co sponser for 1-864 or what

I tried to tell details as much as I can.

I will need joint sponsor who is brother of my wife.

My question is who should fill what...

i.e. who should file I-864? wife or her brother or both?

Who should file I-864A?

What are the attachments required (regarding tax papers, forms,...etc) from wife & her brother

Is it clear enough, or do I missing anything?

thanks

All attachements required are listed in the instructions.

People on here lately do not read the instructions or the steps or the guides or the examples anymore before asking questions. A lot of the time the answer is RIGHT THERE if they had just read it.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I read I-864 instructions & I-864 and still lost. and asking about attachment is due to my case specific [if your read the topic carefully]

Then, please note that lots of people aren't used to language of those forms, and need someone to confirm, in addition to those forms are for general cases...someone may need help regarding his specific case.

As well that of us know very well that single mistake costs too much.

Then why not answer people questions if we do have the answers?

Yes and as i said people are not reading them lately thats why a lot of people do not answer questions anymore. You asked why and what happend to VJ im answering. VJ is a self help website where you can find all the answers in the guides, steps and instructions. If you read them and still do not understand or have a specific question then go right ahead and ask the question. The issue is with the people who do not educate themselfs before asking.

I agree with you horees i have read the guides and the step by step. I can't always remember all of the information i read. There is so much information and it gets so confusing ESPECIALLY sponsorship. i read it over and over and seemed the more i did understand with that the more questions i formed but it is because we are all nervous and stressed and want to do it right the first time. Some of us can't afford to fail on this.

Now as for your question...

I have a question for you? is your wifes brother's income sufficient to meet the requirmements?

if so then you would fill out I-864 for you and your wife and one for the brother. The spouse is always the primary sponsor from what i understand.

You will have to submit tax transcripts for her for the last 3 yrs and it's understandable she did not work as she was out of the country so don't worry about that you can get a form saying that you weren't required to file.

if you have any transferrable income(i.e meaning will continue when u go to usa) you can include that or assets.

the brother will have to provide the same

the i-864a form is like for household members who will be contributing their income to meet the requirements but if the brother's income is sufficient it is not necessary.

it took me a long time to really understand that and sponsorship is the biggest and most asked question i think on this forum and the one that causes the most confusion. :)

also i believe co sponsors may need to submit their birth certificates also to prove us citizenship.

I am not really qualified to be answering that many questions. i answered that because i have learned it from my understanding of sponsorship.
