Does any one know what is going on in Vermont K1 visa approval? It seem if everything is slow down or stall. Are they changing remodeling or something? It seem to me looks, if everyone file was touch on 10/03/2010 and nothing is done with it since. i wish they will just look at our files and do something with it. I know it not pass the 5 months mark yet, but it be nice if they would touch it once a while. This waiting really sucks... bad.

Sorry peeps, just wanted to let out a little steam.

There were actually a couple of NOA2's handed out early this month. Check Igor's list for VSC. Also VJ members only make up a tiny fraction of all the petitions that USCIS receives, so for all we know, there've been TONS of approvals recently, just not VJ ones.

Dude, looks like your on schedule based on your time line. I know it can be frustrating but you got to have patience. Anyway, didn't you just visit your fiance last month? When it's all said and done you'll probably end up in the 230 - 260 days start to finish.

That makes me feel good to know that I'm not the only one. I got my NOA1 July 17 and noticed that several people got approved in October, but I'm still waiting. My last update is October 3 also. Are there a lot of people who have their last touch listed as Oct. 3 as well? Have you tried contacting the USCIS?

I know it's been a while, but when we filed last year, I had a touch like a week after sending the package, and then for almost four months, nothing nada niet. But then it was approved.

Be patient, you also have to remember that pretty much most of the East coast files with Vermont. That's a lot of people, and like mentioned above, we on VJ probably are less than 10% of everyone filing for a visa right now...

Good luck with everything!

Ugh. :(

I hope that 10% is true and not a sudden halt. My estimates here on VJ adjusted thrice now from Oct to Dec.

I'm with you. It is frustrating to wait, wait, and wait. Hopefully, your petition will be adjudicated and approved soon. I thought that VSC was going faster, but I guess not!

Best wishes!

I am getting some 3rd hand information that maybe senior members can confirm:

USCIS is running backlog for a few reasons :

but 1 is the Haitian refugee situation is pulling alot of resources

and taking priority above most K type visas.

and 2 is that overseas issues regarding 'war' visas kind of a touchy subject

for some out there.

not all of this is USCIS - but it does all filter through state department resources.

like I said it is 3rd hand but would explain why our visa appears to be also 'stalled'.

you might try and find 'Gary & Alla', wonderful and most helpful people,

but the key for all of us - patience and a little prayer goes along way :)

for myself, I am now planning a Christmas trip to Moscow as things

do not appear to have any movement at all. In theory 'moya nevesta to be'

should have been here by Christmas.

We can only all hope that once NOA2s start flowing that the embassy side of things

is empty for our countries so we can pick up a few weeks on that end of it.

Sasha has all her stuff ready aside from the medical interview / examination.

so it really is down to paperwork and checks and resources of the system.

hope this is somewhat helpful.
