THe officer can basically take however long he/she needs to deside your case file outcome. Did they not tell you on the phone to try calling again after a certain amount of days? or that they would call you back after a certain amount of time? Usually they will call again or ask you to call after a month or two to see whats happend with the case. Anyhow, wait a few weeks and call them to see whats going on if anything changed with your case.

keep up the dialogue with the Immigration Liason Staffer Human at yer congress' office -

Call every few days or so.

pointed questions to ask - each time, of the ILS Human

--Who has the casefile today?

--What's the casefile status?

--any additional namechecks?

--What's the holdup on the approval?

--we've received nothing via postal mail from USCIS - what's going on?

--there's been no online status updates on the case since interview date - what's going on?

The 'initial contact' with any ILS is always to 'get the details of the case' as well as 'submit the release of information clearance form' so if you've only had 1 or 2 contacts with an ILS Human -

wei -

it's time to have more.

Good Luck !

PS - please fill up/out yer timeline over at http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=85827 TIA ! / xie xie !

so - keep asking that list of questions,

every few days , to the ILS Human.

I wasn't asking these questions of you, to you -

this is a list of questions that YOU should be asking the ILS Human, every few days.

Good Luck !

no idea, no clue -

but

constant inquiry from an ILS Human , done this way,

gets higher visibility at the local office.

With higher visibility, comes 'faster results'.

You wanted some faster result, yes? Since you've been 'waiting' since April, 2010?

Let me know yer thoughts?

---

ps - whilst yer waiting, though - do, please - fill out yer timeline over at http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=85827 and thanks in advance !

assigned? assigned to whom?

who is they?

and 'when' was all of this told to you?

and 'when' did 'they' ask yer senator?

I ask these things, as for now, it's really important (for you, for me, for anyone reading this) to get some 'accurate picture' of who said what, and when. yer making, or should make, a chronology of 'stuff' about this, with date/time stamps. It gets helpful when anyone here at VJ tries to 'figure stuff out', but it gets innately useful for the ILS Human when he's talking with USCIS.

Work up some chronological list of stuff, starting at interview day, come forward to present.

It'll be a 'living document' until you have green card in hand, then you can file it away after, ya?

i was told by the senator office after they made a request for me on my case status and they told me that my case has just been assigned to an officer,so is there any other thing you need to know, why are they just assigning my case to an officer.

Please check my signature and you will get an idea of what else you can do after your interview. Is contacting your senator once the only thing that you have done for the past 5 months? You need to be persistent in what you do, nobody can tell you "how long is gonna take" until you get a response.
