I would guess lots of calls to NVC are silly and should not be made but people being what they are just clog down the system. Then those who have reasonable and legitimate issues have to wait because

  • 04/15/2010: I-130 Hard copy received in mail
  • 08/26/?2010: I-130 Approved (Confirmed by phone)
  • 08/29/2010: Received NOA 2 Hard Copy

  • 10/04/2010: I-864 AOS review fee ($88) paid online
  • 10/05/2010: DS-3032 COA emailed to NVC

I got tru today after the 25th time! :D haha! Best time to call them is early in the morning or late at night! :thumbs:

I think most of them are on vacation! :P But u're right - at least the AVR should be available... I see u guyz got approved on the 26th of Aug - we are 10 days ahead of you and still no NVC number! Last time we called - a very angry lady told us to wait 15 days to pass and then call again! Well those 15 days are up tomorrow and Imma be raisin hell!! :girlwerewolf2xn:

That's the 6 months mark since our I-130 filing date. I gave them (USCIS) 1 month extra buffer, knowing that their official processing time is 5 months. After 6 months, I will call them everyday, talk to Congresswoman daily and would make the telephone and fax line completely jammed :) Also, I will swap my wife's name to me. Now I call her 'lackofpatience' :)
