Resubmit additional paper work

Friends,

I need some advice about submit addition paperwork after the first interview, what they need are:

1) Explanation of how we meet, who introduce us, how long do we know each other, does beneficiary ask petitioner for engagement, where and when it happened,.... (will it cause any issue if we only know each other for 4 months, petitioner went to VN for the first time to see beneficiary and engaged?)

2) Petitioner residences status, who did petitioner live with and how long for the past 10 years.

3) List of all beneficiary relative who live in the US.

4) Petitioner did apply for a K1 before for some one. Give detail of what happen after the Visa issue that that time (b/c thing did not workout the petitioner ex left the US 2 months after arrived to US via K1 Visa, no married certification).

5) Give the current petitioner ex home address and personal information.

Go down your list item by item and throughly address each one of them. The short relationship has been the reason for denial in the past, so give them everything they are asking for as best as can be done..

As Scott said, you have to give them exactly what they're asking for.

You knew each other for four months, and got engaged on the first visit? Yeah, that usually spells trouble at the consulate in HCMC. Were you introduced by a member of her family?

Hey it worked for me and I was introduced by her Aunt to boot.

My husband and I got engaged a little over 3 months after meeting for the 1st time (married within 6 months). We were in AP for 3 months, so I think our case was looked at for the short time period, but who knows...

Eventually, we got approved, so it's not impossible.

Yeah, but you're like the lady in New Jersey who hit the lottery jackpot three times. Few of us can ever hope to be as lucky as you. When I first came to VJ I was stunned by the number of people who got nailed to the wall for only having one or two visits, a formal engagement on the first visit, and a beneficiary with family members in the US (one of whom introduced them). You, sir, are a statistical anomaly!

I met my wife for the first time on my first trip back to Vietnam last June.

Went back and married her last September and filed the I-130.

She is living in my house right now.

Show the development of your current relationship from first contact to present time. Some happen more quickly than others. The truth is all you can tell.

If you petitioned for a prior fiance(e) they want to see if there is any connection between the ex and the current fiance(e). Give an explanation about the prior fiance(e) and where she lives now. If the ex is back in VN can you get a statement from her or a copy of the housebook?

It all has to be explained in your submission as there is typically not a second interview.

When we got a list of requested docs from the initial interview, I was in Vietnam at the time so we simply typed up the info on Oanh's computer and got it notarized for free at the consulate. We still ended up getting denied at the 2nd appointment back in January and we've just recently received the letter from USCIS saying that the case is pretty much closed. So prepare yourself for an uphill battle at this point and simply give them the info they're requesting.

If you're in Vietnam now or plan on going there soon then be sure to go to the consulate during their walk-in consultation times (Tuesdays and Wednesday 4-5pm, if I remember correctly) to make it known that you're inquiring about the case. That may score some points at least. Good luck.
