NOA1 - Country of Birth Unkown

I received my NOA1 dated: 08/06/2010. I have a question. The notice I-797C has her name correctly and her date of birth correctly. For her county of Birth it has "unknown". Will that be a RFE? When I sent the package, I submitted her birth certificate and also her passport.

Good day!!..are you applying for a K1 visa too??..if ever you were, I just wonder how come you sent her birth certificate and copy of passport??...i thought it's only the passport and birth certificate of the US citizen which will be submitted along with the I-129F...anyways, just pray that you won't get an RFE...if you have submitted all the required documents, then no worries..everything will be alright!!..have a blessed day!!

Hello! When my fiance got my NOA1 also same with you that my country of birth is "Unknown" and I do have RFE but its not about that. My RFE's are my fiance's passport, birth certificate, airline ticket and my G325A (Fiancee copy).. So dont worry, if you submitted complete set of documents as per VJ guidelines you will not receive RFE.

they have an RFE bcoz her fiance didnt submit the other evidences, like UCS's/ petitioner's passport, birth cert., airline ticket, and her G325a form...

I just got my NOA1 today, and it had the same thing. Name and Birthday correct, but country of Birth: "unknown". Seems weird to me as I definitely filled that part of the form out, and also sent her Birth Certificate and Passport copies. So they should definitely know that she wasn't born in an "unknown" country.

I just called the service center, went through the billion menus and talked to someone, who updated the information. Hopefully, they'll change it quickly, and it won't lengthen the wait time. I doubt it was really needed, but I figured I'd cover all of my bases, and make sure I gave them no reason to give an RFE.

I plan on including a copy of my fiancée's birth certificate in my I-129F package because the spelling of her last name is slightly different than that of of her fathers on the birth certificate. He uses his spelling for all of his legal documents and she uses her spelling for all of her legal documents. I don't want a RFE for the spelling difference so I am including the cert to try and avoid one.
