Hi, i had this issue as well and E-mailed the loxbox and this was thier reply to mine:

"Good Afternoon:

Thank you for your inquiry.

This petition was rejected because the province information was not entered into the beneficiary’s place of birth information; this is required for all beneficiaries born in the Republic of the Philippines, Mexico and Canada.

You are welcome to resubmit the petition with the full information.

We trust this is helpful to you.

The Lockbox Support Team

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services"

Also, make sure your marriage cert. matches EXACT with the I-130 and the G-325a as far as place of birth.

Hope this helps! =)

Hey Guys,

I spent most of the night correcting the mistakes.

THey did not cash my check.. Thank god. They sent everything back so I could resubmit. I've filled out my timeline just havent figured out how to post it in my signature. I'll figure it out soon.

Other than that, I am working on how to resubmit properly.

1. Since my notice of action does not mention the CSC (i live in california), i realized the USCIS did not forward my application to the processing center. Hence for my I-130 Section D Q. 2 should be (wife's name), Chicago Illinois, (date), and rejection due to application being incomplete. Sound good?

2. Since I have a rejected application stapled together with numbers on the side, I am unsure as to whether I should seperate everything completely, reorganize it into an original submission and send it in.

Even though I am unsure how to handle 2. I am drafting up two cover letters:

- One i-130 cover letter explaining Resubmission status along with list of revised forms and attachments. Including new check.

- one i-130 cover letter as an original submission.

Event Date

Service Center : California Service Center

Consulate : Switzerland

Marriage (if applicable): 2009-07-28

I-130 Sent : 2010-08-07

I-130 NOA1 : 2010-08-10

Rumba,

Section D, Q 2 on the I-130 refers to a previous petition that had been filed for the same person (i.e. I had previously petitioned for my husband - then fiance - to come here on a K1 visa so I had to mention it in this section) , not a petition that was returned at the initial review stage without the check ever being cashed. If this is the first petition you've filed for your wife (even though it was returned to you for corrections), then the answer to Section D, Q2 would be "NO". Also, you can send back the same check - they'll just deposit it this time assuming the paperwork is completed to their satisfaction.

The stapling that they do has no real order to it. They just bunch a whole bunch of sheets together and staple as many as they can handle with their stapler. If you want to remove the staples and reorganize it in a more logical fashion, you can do that. You can separate each set of docs that belong together with black clips or rubber bands. Just nothing fancy....they'll just throw out the fancy stuff so it fits in their folders easily.

To post your timeline in your signature, go to "settings" (upper right-hand corner of your screen), then "profile", then "signature". Then once you play around with it, you'll figure it out.

Great! Much thanks!

Silly Question here: Does this mean that come time for my resubmit that my envelope/cover letter will be marked as Resubmission: I-130 Petition

or is it still a Original Submission? I mean.. One would could make arguments for both. Not sure what matters.. Im sure it does given they sent my I-130 back to me! haha :)

When my whole petition was returned to me initially for corrections (my I-130 was missing the bar code on the bottom so I had to send out another one), I specified in my new cover letter that this was an "I-130 RE-SUBMISSION".

However, all my included docs that I was re-submitting said "I-130 - Original Submission" on the top left-hand side where I had written it initially. I left all that alone. On the package envelope, I wrote I-130 Re-Submission. You'll also note that the P.O. Box that you're sending it to this time is a different one than the lockbox you sent it to initially. This P.O. box is the lockbox for the corrected petitions being sent back.
