Ok I have to admit that may be I have too much free time or whatever anybody may think

. In my desperation to understand VSC’s processing pattern, I randomly started punching case numbers to find that out. In a while, I ended up collecting about 457 "yet to be adjudicated" K1 petition #s filed from July 2nd to July 22nd. My NOA1 date is July 22 so I was interested in petitions filed before that date. Since I started tracking these petitions, from about a month ago, - 74 petitions have been approved, 3 were denied or withdrawn and 38 are in RFE. The oldest petition still waiting to be adjudicated is from July 2nd, there might be some older petitions yet to be adjudicated but I didn't go beyond July 2nd. Last 2 days have seen no approvals. What I have noticed is petitions get approved in bunch. For couple of days there won't be any approvals and then suddenly about half dozen will get approved.

Seriously looking at data there is no way to understand how these peitions get approved. However one thing is certain that some July petitions got approved as early as August and as I said a hell lot more are yet to be adjudicated. I am not sure how anybody can reasonably say that petitions of certain dates are being adjudicated, there is "simply no date", at best one can say that they might be working on petitions from certain range. Looking at my research, July petitions have been in "processing window" since August.

Bunch of July 22nd petitions were approved on November 12, which got me very excited but then nothing happened, not even a freaking touch. Oh another thing about touches, I noticed there was a mini "collective touch" for some petitions on Nov 5th.

You must have got it by now - I am desperate, yes real desperate to be with my fiancée and get my life started. I contacted my State Senator last week, let's see where does that leads.

I doubt they're working on a specific date since it seems to be so random. If they're working on July 27, I'd be approved since my NOA 1 is July 17 =(. I need some good news!

FYI

I called the USCIS office on November 15 and they send inquiry on my case to Vermont Center. Yesterday i recevied the letter from them stating:

"Our review indicates that this case is actually within our current processing time. We are currently processing cases filed on June 22, 2010. We regret any misunderstanding. If you dont receive a decision or notice of other action within our current processing time, check our website for an update or call customer service at the number provided below..."

Letter is dated November 22, 2010 and it was mailed on 11/26/10.

I got only six more days until 5 month is up....

I was concerned if you got any updates on your file; csc seems to be a little more active in sending noa2s.

Atlest, if there were some actions we could have our hopes up but vsc has not been very active on sending NOA2s lately.

You can tell that this was a scripted response considering that the post was made on November 22. Exactly 5 months. I bet you that if you call today they will tell you that they are working on July 3.

I am still waiting for mine and sympathize for those who have past their 5 month mark.

I've run out of things to say, really. What else is there to do but wait?

It isn't exactly the most difficult time. Yet, I find the whole process dragged out that all enthusiasm is quite lost. A "meh" instead of a "yay". Right now it is a BLEH.

Yea, I feel like the USCIS just decided to take a big break. I know that government institutions tend to be lenient with allowing a lot of vacation days for employees around the holidays. Just hang in there, and one day we'll wake up and be approved when we least expect it!!!
