Seb & houstonking, what did you guys say to get a positive response and successful service request? On my call I went through 2 tiers (first guy then asked to be escalated to second guy) and both of them totally shot me down. They both said there was no possible way for me to put in the service request and that the computer would not let them. How are yours being put through? Is there a special way they need to request it?

I was so upset and frustrated by the way they treated me that I really don't want to call again, but it sounds like I really should. I just don't know what I could do/say differently. :(

After reading the previous replies I decided to go to uscis.gov and oh what a surprise, my K-1 was touched 9-11-10 as well. So this one person has our cases on their table and isnt doing anything with them. Why would they be looking at our initial k-1 again. Make a decision already.

My 4 months waiting period will be up Nov. 19 and I will try to put in a service request then. I am not really in a hurry with the green card but I just want to be done with this waiting for a little while.

just told them my file date and that its been 4 months already and i need to file the service request. so the lady didnt ask me any thing and just went ahead and did it. the guy i talk to when i called first time.....didnt even know what was a tier level 2. so he was like do u want to talk to other custermor representaive in his office.

i think it just depends on who you talk to......

Same here, I checked when some of you mentioned being touched on 11th Sept, K-1 also got touched that day. Perhaps it is getting closer to a resolution? Hopefully your service request will shed some more light.

Our AOS was touched today. I didn't think they would have been working today. Hopefully that's a sign of it getting closer to approval instead of them just checking the file since we requested service request.

Lets hope that this is the week for all of us still waiting for our AOS. Good luck everyone and have a great week. Lets get it all done by Thanksgiving break.

That is a very nice thought, but I won't be holding my breath!!! Good on you for being able to stay positive thru this wait...I have pretty much given up on caring. It sucks because it affects when we are able to apply for naturalizaiton and such, and it is frustrating to see that people who applied months after us that have gone through CSC being approved before us.

Finally some news!

After terrible experience with the USCIS officers, today I spoke, for the first time, with somebody so kind who tried to help me the best she can.

It seems that CIS is now processing cases received on May 21 and ours is June 10, so I have to call again for 20 days and USCIS will send a message to them to ask what's up with our case. We're still in the time frame and if we don't receive anything within 20 days, we've to call back.

I'm really tired and frustrated with all of this, not to mentioned how ignorant, rude and unprofessional are some of the USCIS employees. :bonk::wacko::blink:

Some of them don't know how to check on their sources to give you the proper information. :bonk: I can't believe how many times you have to call to get the person who really wants to help and is capable to reply on your request.

It's not a problem at all to wait but to know for how long or to be informed from time to time, just to have a hope that they didn't forget you. Our last touch was 8/6 and nothing after that!!! We didn't receive any notice since our case was transfer on 7/21.

Let's hope that the rest of us, limbo cases :innocent: , will finish with this stage in our lives ASAP. :star:

We were touched too after the service request but still nothing. We don't know what's going on. It was touched on 11/11/2010. Hopefully we will have our AOS done by the New Year.
