Hi,

I am in a almost similar situation. I went for my interview on Sept 17th at the Dallas office. The interview took about 5 min and everything seemed to go well. The IO officer took my I-94 and said my case needed further review. I have not heard anything back and my online status is still showing "Initial Review" . I called the USCIS 800 # and they said they are now processing files from back in April ( as of yesterday ) .. I guess it's just a waiting game.

I hope you get an answer soon. I am tempted to call the 1800 number but will do so in 3 days afetr its been 30 days since the interview. I sure do hope we get this GC soonest! Its agonazing to wait :( I wish you all the best and will keep you posted.

Thanks!

Also, a big thank you for the updates! :)

I hope you hear good news, soon!

I hope you get it soon!

My interview was easy. IO did not ask us much. I think the interview was just 5 minutes. She wanted to know my father, mother name, where did we first meet, how long we have been married and that's it. She did not ask for any supported documents during the interview. We thought it was done successfully but we missed one notarized document that she needed. I did not bring the original of that document either so she could not make a copy instead. The IO ask us to mail her that paper to approve my application. We sent that notarized paper right away after the interview. Hope we will heard from her soon

Congrats! Let us know what happens after you sent in the requested paperwork.

Has any been told that their case was going to be 'reviewed further' after the initial interview ?

Yes. A few cases have been told that they are approved pending further review of their file from their supervisor.

Hello everyone,

I have not been checking visajourney lately due to job search but I am happy to see that soo many people have gotten their green cards.

I unfortunately havent had any updates after receiving my ead and ap in mail ( that was in august).

I checked the uscis.gov website and it said that the current processing time for California Service Center is 4 months.I was transferred there in July so hopefully I will have my Green Card by Thanksgiving or so. Funny to think that I was soo happy when my case got transferred, I thought I would get my approval in no time.

Anyways, Good luck to all who are still waiting for their approval and enjoy your 2 years off from paper filing for those who already have their GC in hand.
