IV fee paid for both wife & son, but can only print son's coversheet

Summary: I paid IV fee $400 each for my wife and son (in total $800). But I can only print my son's IV fee related coversheet. Nowhere I can find a button to print my wife's coversheet of IV fee.

Detail:

Event 1: I got two NVC case numbers and two AOS invoices.

Event 2: I paid AOS fee online for $70 using my son's case number and invoice number. The online payment system is smart enough to know I have anohter case for my wife and told me that a single $70 payment will satisfy both cases.

Event 3: I sent two emails to choose "Electronic Processing" with PDF DS3032 forms as attachements. Of course, one email per case. I did not send in any other document.

Event 4: On the online payment website, I saw my two cases' IV fee were invoiced. I have not received anything from NVC upto this point. I paid IV fee $400 for each case. My bank also recorded two $400 transactions (in total $800). Upto this point, I was able to use either my son or my wife's case number and AOS invoice number to logon to payment website. I did not receive a invoice number for IV fee. I did print out two receipts with status "In Process" right after I paid IV fee online

Event 5: Logon to payment website using my son's case number and AOS invoice number, I saw the status changed to "PAID". I print out a new receipt with status "PAID" and "Document Coversheet" with my son's name, case number on it. I used to be able to click a link somewhere to jump into my wife's case as "related case" without logon again. However, I could not find any link any more. When I tried to use my wife's case number and AOS invoice number to logon, I got an "database error" (remember, I was able to do this before IV fee was invoiced).

Event 6: Called NVC and was told that they received my request for "Electronic Process" and will give response shortly.

My questions:

1. Is it normal not getting IV fee invoice number but was able to pay it.

2. Should I be concerned about having no IV fee receipt with "PAID" status and document coversheet for my wife (my son has both)

Thanks everyone and wish all families apart can be together soon and forever!

Dont forget to include I-864W for your sons case when sending AOS(depending on age) I got an RFE for that.

Thanks, Beta1.

It's good to know that only one invoice number for both AOS and IV fee.

I was able to print:

1. Payment receipt of AOS fee for both my wife and son's cases since it is just a signle payment so both my wife and son's names are on it.

2. Document Coversheet of AOS for both my wife and son's cases.

3. Payment receipt of IV fee for only my son's case

4. Document coverhseet of IV for only my son's case

I was NOT able to print the following because I could not use my wife's case and invoice number to logon payment website

1. Payment receipt of IV fee for my wife's case

2. Document coverhseet of IV for my wife's case

Thanks for reminding me of I864W. I read the instruction on the form. I am not sure it applies to my case because my wife and son has never been in the United States and I have been living in the States through our marriage.

Have a great day!

I worry if it's a browser problem or a computer problem.

Coupla things to 'clear off a list' -

1. on browser - delete cache and cookies, try again

2. go to other computer not in your household , not the one at yer work desk, try again.

3. try from a computer with the latest Internet Explorer Browser

then, if still not showing up - it's internal data problem at NVC-

you'll need to contact a supervisor at NVC to ask them to clear it up.

remember - NVC closes at 00:00 EST, M-F.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Thanks, Darnell. I finally figured out what's going on after tried your suggestion. My wife's case number was changed from GUZ to GZO. I did not receive any email, but on my son's AOS fee receipt there is a related case with my wife's name and the new GZO number. The number must have changed after IV fee was paid. I used the new GZO and the existing AOS invoice number and was able to logon and print all the docs.

Now I still don't see my son's GZO number. Should I go ahead and send my wife's I-864, DS230 or wait for my son's GZO.

ah - GZO # !! Cool !

remember - they are seperate casefiles - so when OPT IN is accepted and you have GZO # - send in stuff for 'that' casefile.

Is weird you have no notice for 'OPTIN ACCEPTANCE', though - it will have the GZO # in it. Check yer spam/bulk folder ?

Thanks, Darnell. Will send out doc this afternoon. The documents I scanned are very big, for example, my notorized marriage certificate is 6MB. Does NVC have any standard as to color and DPI. Can I just scan all docs in black/white except for photo. Also does photo need in JPG or PDF format?

6 meg is kinda big. IMO, can 'scale down' using cutepdf and changing the output resolution to 200 dpi or less.

I assume you are using a PC with some winders operating system - so if you use a MAC, I'm stumped.

cutepdf is a pdf printer driver - can print to pdf output from any program.

only standard at NVC is 'pdf file'

passport photos need to be in pdf format. easiest way is to 'open in image viewer' then print to pdf using cutepdf.

how very strange.

you did send in 2 OPT IN EMAILS (One for wife, One for Child) , ages past, right ? I THINK YOU DID...

I would call NVC, talk with Human, verify both GZO #'s.

IMO, something's wonky.
