Thanks Kari. Hey why are you starting the SAWASDEE 4 thread. You aren't a K-1??? 55555

FedEx is going to try to make some deliveries Friday May 21. I know nobody else is really concerned, but I will be a lot happier when the box is in Audy's hands.

I cannot believe the pictures of Central World. Why would anyone want to destroy Central World, it is totally beyond me. I feel badly for the hundreds or maybe thousands of people that used to be employed there.

Groovy, Kari!!!

Not just the employees of Central World but all the other places the idiots burned and the jobs lost there. I guess they don't really care about all of their countrymen they have hurt by

destroying their jobs and all the other damage they have done that has to be paid for by who? The people of Thailand!! It is unfortunate that a certain number of people would do that. I

firmly believe that any person or company caught funding the red shirts during the protest should be stripped of everything they have to pay for all the damage and loss of jobs!!

Hope all your stuff arrives okay, audy_rob!! Keep your toes crossed!!

My wife works at the Thai Embassy in Washington D.C. and pointed me to this video of the ambassador being interviewed by BBC.

I thought he held up pretty well to the questions and I enjoyed the last comment regarding the mastermind of the protests.

Found out via Twitter, US Embassy is closed on Monday, May 24. Looks like they get another day off. Wonder if they will still get the 28th off as well. I think so.

I think we should pepper the Facebook page asking them if they will make a concerted diligent effort to quickly process visas and all cases in AP status that have been lingering while our federally paid

employees have been vacationing for what will be well over a week!!! Sounds like a good idea to me. Let them know we are not sitting back waiting for them to come back to work and move at a snail's pace!!!

I wish I live closer to DC to work in Thai embassy - oh well, my sis (who's a deplomatic officer, now back in Thailand for a few years) said not to do it though... I'm too westernize and they might not like my strong opinion there whistling.gif

Thanks for the VDO, will have to find time to check that out!

LOL I’m actually this way before I met my husband and that’s the reason he loves me. But yea, I’ve been like this since I was young, so I was not westernized, I’m 100% Thai with some strong personality that many people attribute to be a western value.

Let me explain though.. I’ve always have a strong and confident look by Thai standard but with my US friends/ colleague they all say I’m oh so sweet. I’m also independent (all of my friends comment on this). I respect elder but I don’t take ####### if they are wrong, I’ll let them know (will get me in deep trouble in Thai company but not so much here). I’m always on time and even before time and I cant stand being late. My husband and I are equal, actualy I'm pretty faminist. I’m not at all a jealous person so he can be out with his friends and I don’t mind one bit. I wont let people spend money on me (I paid half of my baby shower my friends throw for me, couldn’t let her pay everything) and even my Thai friends’ husbands said they never know anybody (Thai) who insisted to pay for their own meal when I went for my friend’s baby shower (don’t get me wrong, I love free stuff but I don’t like to take advantage of people). I’m bragging!! Lol. So living here or in Thailand wont change me one bit, only living here I’m more blended and not so stand out but more so in Thailand where everybody’s a lot more polite than meblush.gif
