Howdy partners!

Praise be to Allah, I got an email today saying my card production has been ordered. I've filed I-751 at VSC (aka the slow mojo :)) with a waiver In January. I was married to a USC but unfortunately the marriage ended with a divorce. I filed for I-751 approximately 5 weeks after my divorce was finalized.

I was awaken by a text message saying "there has been an update to your case". I thought approval messages usually say "card production ordered" so i FREAKED OUT. I never became extremely awake after being asleep in such a short period of time!! Anyways i checked my email to find the following message:

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On April 30, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I didn't use a lawyer either. The total weight of my i-751 package was a few ounces less than a pound, with a total of 300+ sheets of paper (some printed on both sides) of evidence. I didn't include taxes because I didn't file jointly with my ex-wife, even though were were married for almost 3 years. My ex-wife was very cooperative too, and I included a personal statement explaining everything.

I honestly expected an interview or RFE especially that I've seen a few people here get RFE or an interview notice even though they filed jointly.

Anyways, I've been helped by this forum and I hope i can help others as well as a payback. If you have any questions about details, I'll be happy to answer.
Congratulations! Your ex-wife's cooperation must have been very helpful.

I wanna say, more like her family's cooperation in the sense of providing affidavits, and not calling immigration with false statements as it has been the case with a few people..

Congrats. I am in the same boat as you. 751 waiver with divorce. My packet was also extensive so I'm hoping VSC is as kind to me as they have been to you and others.
