Second Letter of Intent?

It says: Send an original letter affirming your desire to marry your fiance and your continued support of the K-1 Visa. Sign and date the form. This will be similar to the letter you provided with the I-129F, but dated much closer to the interview (it will have most likely been several months since you submitted your I-129F).

Is it saying just submit the same letter with a more recent date? This is what the original letter contained:

United States Department of Homeland Security

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

04-18-2010 (<---current date obviously)

Dear Sir or Madam:

I, Angela Mull, do hereby state that I am legally able and willing to marry Christopher Webb, and intend to do so within 90 days of his arrival into the US using the K-1 visa.

Yours truly,

Angela Mull

How/what do I need to change or update on this to make it what it needs to be?

I married my British Husband strictly for financial purposes. My heart wrote a check and I cashed it. (L)

Same letter as original submission with I-129F, only with date close to interview is sufficient.

Vanessa and I changed ours slightly, including that we have maintained our relationship and continue to intend to marry within 90 days of her arrival.

Good luck!

Alan

So basically I just need to say that: I am still legally able and willing to marry Christopher Webb, and intend to do so within 90 days of his arrival into the US using the K-1 visa.

And then sign and send it on its way? That is awesome thanks for the quick reply!

Original signature - don't photocopy your letter or email it. I asume you'll be sending other documents to your fiance for the interview (ie: I-134, tax returns, etc)... DOn't foprget to include the updated letter of intent into the fed-ex envelope.

We decided to just update it slightly. This is what we put :

I, Angela Mull, do hereby state that I am legally able and willing to marry Christopher Webb, we have maintained our relationship since the first application date and intend to do so within 90 days of his arrival into the US using the K-1 visa.

It should do, right?

Si, man. For the record, in response to the poster above who said that he didn't include a refreshed letter of intent & the visa was approved anyway: I/we had to submit THREE of the letters. Why? ####### consulate. For others who are reading, it can be quite prudent to prepare & submit a second letter of intent.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Yeah, but for London, most of us don't. In fact, the embassy clearly states on their instructions that it's only required if the petition is expired...Even then, de-facto, they don't ask for it in the interview.

However, since they are likely to be sending papers over the pond with the I-134, may as well include one more sheet, right?

K-1:

January 28, 2009: NOA1

June 4, 2009: Interview - APPROVED!!!

October 11, 2009: Wedding

AOS:

December 23, 2009: NOA1!

January 22, 2010: Bogus RFE corrected through congressional inquiry "EAD waiting on biometrics only" Read about it here.

March 15, 2010: AOS interview - RFE for I-693 vaccination supplement - CS signed part 6!

March 27, 2010: Green Card recieved

ROC:

March 1, 2012: Mailed ROC package

March 7, 2012: Tracking says "notice left"...after a phone call to post office.

It should be addressed to the Department of State, then the US Embassy or Consulate you will be interviewing at. See the Example in the section at the top of VJ called Example Forms. Also, since you are the USC you should state you continue to support the beneficiaries petition.

Good Luck.
