MNL to LAX one-way ticket for my parents

I am trying to look for the cheapest airfare for my parents. One person mentioned about promo for Air China. I tried to check online but I can't put from MNL to LAX. My parents are first time immigrant. I am not sure if airlines are still giving discounts. Please help.

I just checked the prices at China Airlines. For 1 one way ticket MNL to LAX it's $575 + Tax. There are several different airlines that operate out of china - Only one China Airlines though.

don't buy online, that's not the cheapest way (if buying in Manila)

are they in Manila? ask them to look for a travel agency in Manila area (or even inside the malls), they can give bigger discounts than buying their ticket online.

Theres China Air and there Air China, I just booked one way on Air China through Expedia Air China MNL - SFO (LAX same price) 594.00 via Beijing

P/S 594 was taxes and fees included the China Airlines flight is plus taxes and ends up at 850.00

Just a piece of advice, If I were you.. I will call few travel agencies and see if there are still first time immigrant discount slots in Philippine Airlines.

My agency is one of the PAL's agency so I got a MNL-LAX direct flight with first time immigrant for only $578.90. Because usually, agency has direct access on up to date airfare fees. Try to contact alistotravellali@yahoo.com and inquire if Lali (the travel agent of AListo travel) can find you a cheaper rate this time.

I checked St. Raphael Travel you posted. I called and talked to Linda and they told me that they have a new promo for 1st time immigrant PAL for $435 + 186 taxes = $621.

This is the cheapest so far.
