Still waiting for confirmation from NVC that we are set up for electronic processing.

It seems that I made the mistake of listening to the customer service person at NVC which has screwed up the OPTIN to electronic processing.

Hopefully it will get resolved soon....3 weeks and counting...arrrrggghhhh

I'm going through the process to bring my 12 yr old son here.

USCIS got a cover letter that indicated that I would be the agent for my son and asked to forward this info to NVC (I wrote the note on direction from USCIS).

The request never did get sent to NVC when the I-130 was processed. When I called NVC, they said to send an e-mail stating I was to be the agent and not wait to fill out the DS-230. I did this and then they sent me an e-mail directing me that the AOS (I-864) processing bill was ready to be paid. Based on advice from NVC, I paid both the AOS and IV bills before I got the info on how to OPTIN. (NVC never once mentioned that I would have that ability).

When I sent the OPTIN mail, I indicated the DS-230 was not included as I was already the agent on file and that the 2 bills were already paid. What I received back from NVCElectronic (about 1 week later) was a request to confirm that I wanted to proceed with Electronic Processing. I confirmed this (early last week) and still have not heard back from them.

Personally? If it were me I would have already sent in a hard copy DS-230 and I-864, I mean really, that's all EP is about, once that is completed you are just in line for the interview like everyone else.

It's a long weekend, so you might want to check on Tuesday (don't know if the NVC is open on Monday or Today) - if it isn't all good to go I would just overnight the documents and get things moving, you could have been finished with NVC by now - how annoying.

I thought about doing that (sending in hard copies) I mentioned it to NVC on Monday when I called in. They suggested I not do that...it might get wires crossed and cause processing problems (like that hasn't already happened)

Oh well, we shall see what transpires over the next day or so.

I'm not sure whcih e-mail address to send the forms to, or I would just do that as well as sending hard copies overnight. Gotta love hindsight. :)
