Total fee for CR-1 visas

Hello

I'm actually applying DCF, but as no one is answering me in the DCF forum and I'm almost positive the fees are the same whether you apply DCF or regularly for the CR-1 visa, I figured I'd ask here (as this forum seems to get more traffic than the DCF one).

I'm just wondering how much we need to pay at the interview. We already sent in the I-130 and were approved and now we have our interview date in Rio on April 26th. I swear I read somewhere that you have to pay two fees (one at initial filing and the other at the interview), but now I can't find this anywhere!

So, we paid the $355 fee at initial filing...now how much do we have to pay?

$70 for the Affidavit of Support.

$400 for the Immigrant Visa application.

And some miscellaneous for medical.

That's about it I think since it's a CR-1.

$470 at the consulate

some for the medical exams and consultation

and 'sedex' fee for mailing his passport back.

(if I'm not mistaken they accept either in reais or dolars.

$70 for the AOS is only charged when going through NVC, filing DCF your only fees will be medical and 400 which includes 45 security fee at the interview

Hmm...are you sure about that Tommy and Riza?? Because I really remember reading that we had to pay another fee too, but maybe I was confused. And for the record, the medical is $130.

Now I'm really confused. Do we have to pay $470 or nothing.....I'm hoping for the nothing....

$70 for the aff of support bill I 864

$400 for the immigrant visa (DS 230)

Your other costs are in the vaccinations as required, medical examination (varies by physician), then any type of travel required for the embassy interview.

Those are the only fees I'm aware of with CR1.

Thanks guys, that's what I thought! So I guess that confirms that DCF's have to pay that final $470 too. It really doesn't make sense that we'd not have to pay it! If the fee is for the DS forms then we have to fill those out too, as well as affidavit of supports and stuff.

If someone knows different then shout out! But if not, that answers the question! Thanks really!!

Since you guys seem to be on a roll and really much more efficient than those in the DCF forums (like I said, I posted my questions 2 days ago and still no answers), I'll post the link to my others questions here too, if you don't mind! Some of them are definitely only related to DCF, but you never know you might know the answers!

Accoutrding to the guides here on VJ the fee for DCF is $945 but does not inculde a breakdown of the costs.

$945.00 is approximate because the medical fees vary from one country to the other

the FEES for filing DCF are

I-130 .............. $355.00

Medical ............ varies ($213.65 in the PI)

Visa ............... $355.00 plus $45.00 security fee total $400.00

Thanks everyone! I actually just got this answered (finally, after waiting two days!) on the DCF forum and they gave the same answer. And Tommy and Riza, I guess you did say that, but I misunderstood you. I understood you as saying us DCF-ers didn't have to pay ANYTHING beyond the original $355, whereas we really have to pay everything the same as you guys minus the AOS $70 fee...so $355 +$400.
